I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Lol. If they wanted to and/or thought it would make them more money they absolutely would brung the feature back. The “problem” is DD is where their time and energy goes. Not ignorant, just facts.

Disney bought marvel and Star Wars because no matter how much the star wars movies keep sucking or marvel movies go stale people will keep paying for it to watch.
Fornite sucks but people play it and people try and make more fortnite style 'bore you to death to pay to win grind' making money modes like DD ultimate team etc etc etc.
yes there is no denying this if I was a business or company as well to make the $$$ I would make stuff I don't care for ratter then passion. look at youtubers click bait titles to get the clicks. DD is no different
but franchise mode does get small updates each year. last year it was create a stadium. and 93 players, new depth chart the year before we had contract
extensions.
The problem is when things are taken out (EA style like with madden)
No season Mode
now no SOTS
No Y2Y saves
NO IMPORT rosters from previous year (this is not 100% confirmed about this year though but it could be still possible who knows)
So there is still SLIGHT hope if we can import 21 rosters into 22 that would solve our roster headaches but I won't hold my breathe. because it wasn't in last year. now with the switch in the mix it is most likely not going to happen this year either.Comment

I bought an XBOX Series S specifically so I wouldn't give Sony money for their new console or for MLB The Show 21 after they pegged the roster makers.
So nice of them to let me play their game for free again. I guess I'll see if they go back to being creator-friendly in 2023.

So about 2 to 3 years to kill a franchise. Its about what I figured. Don't get me wrong it will sell and most likely sell very well. It will join the ranks of the Card Collecting, Micro Transaction, Quick Play crowd and make them millions upon millions of dollars. But their identity is gone. The love of the game is gone. The die hards and roster creators will stay put. Its like the Assassins Creed Franchise. They are great games but they are no longer AC games in anything but name. So to goes MLB The Show. It may be the worlds best selling "Baseball" game for ever and ever. But it has lost its heart and soul for me and its now a dead franchise like so many others until it eventually, if ever gets back to its roots. In Loving memory of my "Cricket" 1/2/96 - 11/19/2012

I don't know what I'll do. I created an entire college baseball franchise and this sucks. I spent about 70-80 hours over a couple months creating the uniforms and edited one of the college baseball rosters someone uploaded so it included my team. I'll play 22 because of game pass, but yeah, this sucks.Comment

I can understand Stadium Creator if many changes occurs between then and now. SC was a premature product they probably decided to throw in when they realized they were short on features.
For the Y2Y franchise, we still have two hopes who can save the season :
1- if at least rosters from ‘21 can be imported in ‘22
2- what if all this is because of a major overhaul of the Franchise mod ? I know i would be the first surprised but hey! Who knows at this point.
If none of the two happens then it’s gonna betime !!

Until last year, I've bought every edition of The Show since 2011. Unless there are MAJOR improvements to the franchise mode (and I have little to no hope that is coming), I have no intention to buy another version of this game. Looks like I'm sticking with '20 for a lot longer.Comment

They have stolen the EA car and are careening down to road To DD Oblivion!
I knew my Redo on My All Time Roster would be a wasted effort.
It's still not in stone but we have seen this before!! What a joke!!

Re: MLB The Show 22: Year to Year Saves Remain Out, Stadiums Will Not Transfer
It really is a shame with the direction that the show appears to be going. When '20 came out it was trending in a real nice direction, the custom jerseys, year to year saves, sounds of the show, custom logos etc. If they could have added the custom stadiums to what '20 had, it would have made a lot of people happy. Being a classic roster creator myself, it is really frustrating having to start from scratch each year.Comment

Madden catches a lot of flack and SDS has gotten more than enough passes.
They are going in reverse… I’m and have always been a huge The Show supporter but to exclude PC, no sounds of the show, no y2y…
I forgave them last year, it isn’t happening this year.Comment

Re: MLB The Show 22: Year to Year Saves Remain Out, Stadiums Will Not Transfer
thank you I wasn't aware of that! I guess at least that will stop players being a rookie having stats there (even if they are user generated and not accurate but it gets around a 34 year old going for ROTYComment

Thank you, Gamepass. Last year’s game was a huge disappointment for me and I will not be supporting the studio like I did for 21.
I really hope they fix the hitting engine in franchise mode because last year was terrible.
Seems like all they care about anymore is DD, but I hope I am wrong and they get things back on track. No carryover saves or SotS is a bummer, though.

Re: Franchise Players, with Y2Y saves confirmed to not be back, what is your plan?
RTTS has been stale for years and I say this as a big RTTS guy. What they did with 21 was horrible. I'm not buying this game if it's just gonna be the same experience again. I'd rather go play NBA 2k's MyCareer with Microtransactions and all still offers me a decent better experience than RTTS.Comment
