It was a private message discussion I had.

Can you ask them if we can at least get that roster import option that was in MLB 20?? Then Full Minors dudes and bacon dont need to start over.

Hmm interesting, franchise staff grew that much! Maybe we finally have some nice things coming this year??

At least they’re adding to franchise staff.

Yeah even if it just went from 1 to 3 that does seem like it could mean significant improvement in the future (not necessarily this cycle). Hopefully the new platforms don't mean 300% more work....cause then we are probably in the same boat.

I get it. The sting was real for me last cycle….because for me it was a great feature. Losing SOTS had an even greater impact long term. That was immersive goodness for some of us.

Now just make a great game….improve franchise mode, improve gameplay and get the roster import feature back in there will ya?

To bad for whatever reason they weren't just allowed to come out and state what was going on with Y2Y in a more official fashion in the first place. You'll always have those fringe cases that will be irrationally upset but most of the responses would have been "that sucks, but it makes sense"

Well I know they had at least 2 last year so that would mean around 8 are working on it now

Sure as hell beats the one we had a couple of years ago

Yeah, a 300% jump in staff is pretty good even if the initial team is small. That gives me some hope for the future.

Damn, just when I thought I could go into this year with a level head.

Well, do they expect the people who play franchise to just keep that years version of the game? All the stuff in the game that goes on post season becomes moot if you purchase the newest edition.

I would think they hope that people buy the newest edition because they've improved it enough to warrant a buy.

What's moot? The offseason for franchise goers?

If that's what you mean, then I would say that I've played 3 full seasons of playing every pitch of every game and am currently playing a 4th. So transactions that occurred in my virtual universe are far from moot.

There are those that play and sim so they can get deep into franchise mode and have their offseason transactions have an impact on their virtual universe.

We had Y2Y saves for 6 years ('14 thru '19) so prior to that people found ways to get deep into franchises, that wanted to, to experience a virtual universe separate from that of real life. I would expect that while Y2Y is shelved, or even if gone for good, people will revert back to those things that they did prior to Y2Y being introduced.

It really helps that they do give options to speed seasons up if someone wanted to get through multiple seasons in one year. I know I use those options.
