Re: What are you working on thread

Spent a couple hours grinding new program souvenirs. I had all the stuff needed to take care of all the souvenir stuff for all 12. Loading up on that stuff has really paid off.

Carpenter/Weeks/Soroka are complete. Made solid progress on the others.

Made great progress on team epics this week...that 5% on guys will be super helpful.

I have 4 complete right now so 1 more and I'll eliminate the needs to get ATL jerseys for Chipper.

    Team epic progress:
SEA: needs 35 IP and 2 saves + beat A's on All-Star then do the Buhner stats
    HOU: need 70 AB's, 5 IP, 2 SV...and 2 W's and 16 K with Drabek then Pence stats
    BAL: need 109 IP (FML)

I swear the computer is playing a different game to me at times. Their ability to hit 450 foot homers, into a stiff breeze, with low power hitters completely out of the blue on rookie just feels like a cheat and it's making CGS's like for Big Game James so difficult. It's not fun difficult as there is no skill to it, you just need to get lucky and not have them randomly decide to pulverize a ball.

Meanwhile if I'm hitting into the wind, even people like Nelson Cruz can't beat the warning track as the ball just stops in mid air

Just realized we have a week left till June's ranked season is over O.o

Guess I gotta stop everything I'm doing to make sure I get back to WS

Currently sitting at 789. Hope I can get it ASAP

Looking forward to the immortals though. So sick and tired of Saberhagen and Sutton lol

I'm on a run in RS...3 wins today to reach DS for the first time this cycle. Glad I'm going to get another Musial souvenir, but I want more!

Offense has been hot too - I'm using a power swing a lot more at least until the upper ranks and really happy with the results.

5 more saves and I’ll have the diamond Trevor Hoffman. Probably will ditch Craig Kimbrel at that point

              Hoffman >>>>>> Kimbrel

The pitch variety is top notch man.

              ______

I'm stacking up all the hats/jerseys/souvenirs I can for the cheapest possible in preparation for immortals. Sitting on 125k stubs with a team that's like 88 overall. I just can't bring myself to sell that Gagne or Scott as they are too good. So technically I could be sitting on 200k...but what's the point?

I really like the content and cards we're getting. They are just handing me free diamonds who can play in my lineup and I just sell the live series cards I get. I've debated going for the Willie Stargell but I'll just pass and wait for Frank Thomas/Albert Pujols.

Also I've maintained my no stub buying ways and the team name has been the "No Money Spent Spartans" lol

My lady was out of town yesterday so I reverted to my teenage self and basically played all day. Finished every new player program except Jake Mcgee's cumulative stats. As a bonus, I also completed the Giambi stats to finish the Yankees team epic and knocked out the Nava program in case it's connected to Albert Belle. Finished up by pitching a perfect game with Vida Blue in Ranked Seasons. I'm now in the low 600s. The journey to 800 continues!

Got to 866 last night, and hopefully, will surpass 900 tonight

Really hope I can just play 2 games and be done, but I'll probably play two games where I get 15 points per win and will likely lose the 3rd and then begin a downhill slope back below 800 lol

Grinding out Buddy Bell stats plus trying to finish off Steve Finley mission for DBacks team epic.

                    Edgar Martinez 3 run homer
                    Travis Show homer
                    Alex Bregman homer
                    Joe Torre homer
                    Matt Carpenter pinch hit homer
                    Steve Finley homer

Back to back to back to back to back to back. They actually have audio for it too which surprised me haha.

Doing some browsing this Monday morning for cards/souvenirs/apparel and let me tell you...if you haven't been stacking this stuff you're going to be in a world of hurt when these new career arcs drop.

The good news is that packs might be worth buying...

I am really really really hoping some of the cheaper teams get a career arc player so my investments pay off!

Given that they said the career arc players were high 90's, I think we can rule out the Rays unfortunately!

Very true...but they aren't cheap as their price was just pumped up by the recent player missions.

Ha, yeah they have become finally not the cheapest, but I'm struggling to see them being of any use for a career arc. I've been racking my brains for the remaining potential players and then all the teams they played for and the only even slight Ray possibility is maybe Jose Bautista in RF, but I'd still put Dave Winfield as much more likely.

I've just completed the incredibly sad task of tallying the value of all the souvenirs I have for each team, then I'm going to top up the lesser ones and the ones I think are more likely. I'm at between 5000 and 10000 for almost every team, with a few exceptions (yanks, texas, Padres and worryingly, Phillies).

I swear to god, 99% of the stubs I have gained on this game have gone on this crap, I don't think I've bought a player for more than a couple of thousand. It's so, so stupid that this is the real currency on the game

Its a complete joke. I have nearly no stubs because Im constantly forced to buy these useless items. When the arcs come out, I very well might take a look at what I need, the prices of souvenirs, and just quit DD.

Im a diamond level 58, with 47 pages of game history(47 pages x 14 games per page=658 games), yet Im sitting here with 3500 stubs with JT realmuto being the most expensive card I bought for like 1500 stubs when the game first came out. Every stub Ive gotten in this game has gone to souvenirs or players that I buy and then exchange for nothing.

Playing games doesnt reward you with stubs. Missions dont reward you with stubs because they got rid of the stat missions. The daily log in bonus of a minor league stadium or common free agent card I get everyday is nothing. All of the souvenirs in souvenir packs I open are for teams that I dont need souvenirs for so they are worthless.
