SP on all star with default sliders.

Drafted by the Diamondbacks and went 9-2 in AA. Played in the futures and all star game then traded to the Blue Jays. Played 1 game in AA before being sent to AAA as a reliever where he pitched about 40 innings - things were going well until...

He got moved to the majors as #4 SP in September. He got found out quite quickly as he only really has two pitches at present and an 18 year old against the Yankees and Red Sox didn't work very well.

Finished the season 1-4 with an ERA just over 4. Fortunately it looks like he will be back in AAA for a bit in season 2 to build up his skills.

Started off year 2 with my 2B and I started off the year coming off the bench for the Cardinals, but that's what ever. I started off a new closing pitcher RTTS, Trent Magnum. I got drafted by the Nationals. My first save opportunity I came in, got 3 strikeouts and walked away with a save. This might be fun.

So, after my CF came off the 60-day DL in AA he got called up to AAA Oklahoma City. I finished the season 5 for 50 in AAA. Wow. My patience went right out the window and I found myself swinging at everything. When I did hit it solid, it was right at someone. Just brutal. Talk about discouraged. Astros organization re-signed me for year 2 to begin at AAA as a bench player. It's rough. I started off the season hitting like I ended Year 1, terrible. I took a break, gathered my thoughts and forced myself to be patient.

It's either in my head, or pitching is quite a bit better at AAA. I seem to be behind on a lot of fastballs and having to re-evaluate my timing. Was in a massive slump to start the year. Even the announcers were talking about how I just couldn't get it going. Through mid-May I was hitting .173 with 0 hr and 3 rbi off the bench. Ugh.

Last night, went on a tear and starting making some solid contact. Unbelievably, I hit my first HR (Which completed my goal!) to help us beat Iowa. Now, at the end of May, I'm hitting .274 with 2 hr and 10 rbi. Looks like I'll be starting for a couple weeks due to an injury. Let's hope I can take advantage of it.

          Love this game.

I'm working on that. My player is basically a good glove and a contact hitter. I'm slowly working on Vision. Of course, if this game was easy it wouldn't be any fun. LOL

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread

So the Angels, after my first season with them, signed another 2B and traded for one, too, bumping me to third on the organizational depth chart.

I climbed back to second by the middle of the season and made the double A all-star team. The day before the ASG, I was traded to the Royals.

Crushed for the season, batting .330 or so as a leadoff guy, then No. 3 hitter for the Royals' AA team. I missed my goals and was benched (hit a homer and walk four times. My guy has no power). We lost in the first round of the playoffs again.

Contract ends and they offer me a deal: 1 year, $480k, MLB starter. I'm second or third on the depth chart for the Royals. I said, make it $510k and we have a deal. Done.

So I get invited to ST, obviously. And I suck. I'm not even close to ready (I'm 20 years old, after all). I can't hit anything. So I think I'll get optioned to triple A soon (I hope), but I'm not sure how that works.

BTW, has anyone else noticed that after a year or so all the hard-throwers are gone from double A? Seriously, no one threw harder than 86 mph in that second year. Maybe a random guy at 89, but that was it.

I really hate the managers in RTTS. It's the 3rd year of my RTTS, my first full year in the majors. I bat either leadoff or cleanup. In 141 AB, I have 44 strike outs. You'd think maybe I should be in the 7-8-9 spot? Nope!

I hit 5-8 my entire rookie season. I guess it depends on your team.

I can't figure out why i was demoted to the AA bench when Im hitting .333 and on a 5 game hitting streak. I haven't made any errors in the field (playing SS) so Im not really sure. I was well ahead in all 4 if my goals as well so Im a bit confused

As a batter, I've only batted 3rd, 4th, and 5th... I've managed only 2 home runs in about half a season. I'm the complete opposite of a power first baseman at this point.

Well, my RTTS 3B/LF for the Braves has been doing fairly well.

I absolutely dominated AA and AAA for the first season. Beat out my competition for the starting 3B job to take over for Chipper since he retired.

I will say that the Bravos have made a TOOOOOOOOOOON of moves lol.

Traded/lost Hanson, JJ, Bourn, Hudson, Delgado.
Gained Bubba Starling, Wil Myers, Lorenzo Cain, Tyler Skaggs

Team went from one of the most dominant looking future rotations to a slew of outfield prospects in the midst lol. They have Myers and Heyward platooning in right ffs.

Kinda makes me hate the trading lol. This braves team looks nothing like the original now The pitching is putting us in the gutter.

                              Skaggs
                              Gilmartin

That's the current rotation atm and it has the potential of being beast down the line. I just hate that my team's in the gutter atm lol.

Will increasing any of the attributes, like Discipline and vision, actually help draw more walks (or see more balls)?
