Still getting my *** whupped in the majors. Finally started my 2013 season. Spring training was good. Pitched 9 innings, gave up just 2 runs, 5 hits, 1 walk, and had 4 K. Started the regular season, and have already give up 6 runs in 4 innings. Just ridiculous how many guys can just line balls anywhere they want in the majors. I owned AA and AAA.

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
Was called up to the majors while someone was injured, so was obviously added to the 40 man roster. Was sent back down to Triple-A but remained on the 40 man roster. All was going good in Triple-A, batting around .300 with 7 HRs and 32 SBs and then one day I was removed from the 40 man roster and sent to the bench in Triple-A. Didnt play for like 10 straight days and now I get spot starts. WTF? I wish you could demand a trade in the interactions!Last edited by NIteMarE-; 03-30-2012, 11:16 PM.Comment

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
2 months into my 2nd season in the majors.
7th in hitting
3rd in HR
2nd in RBI
2nd in AL MVP race behind Prince Fielder who leads in all triple crown categories.
EDIT: Robbed my first homerun today from RF. What a great feeling that was.Last edited by buckeye02; 03-31-2012, 12:55 AM.PSN: buckeye02Comment

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
First year in the majors with the Jays, starting SS:
.297, 32 HR, 93 RBI, won AL ROTY. Unfortunately the Jays didn't make the playoffs, as they had traded Jose Bautista away in an unfair deal for me, and generally have a miserable bullpen. (Also, for the stats, keep in mind I use pretty easy sliders, as I'm usually a very below-average hitter. My contact and power are all in the upper 80s, though.)
So far in 2014, about through the first week in May, I'm hitting .276, 13 HR, 26 RBIs. Plan to lead the Jays to a WS, however unlikely that may be!Comment

I'm in my second year, opening day starter in AAA (but I didn't get invited to Spring Training....wtf?). My first year I spent half the year in AA and half in AAA, going 15-4 overall with a 2.5 ERA. Just added a fourth pitch, 2SFB, to go along with my 4SFB, 12-6 curve, and circle change.
Still don't understand how I wasn't invited to Spring training....oh well. Hopefully I get called up early, or not at all....don't wanna get screwed out of the ROY runningComment

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
Trading Bautista for a prospect is so unfair.. At the time, Bautista was a proven MLB all-star and he was probably just a minor league player with a lot of potential. It's like trading Bautista for Bubba Starling, I wouldn't take that risk.Chicago Bulls | Chicago Bears | Chicago White Sox | Chicago BlackhawksComment

What do you think it'd take in a trade to pry Bryce Harper away from the Nats, or say even Miguel Sano from the Twins?Last edited by hawks223; 03-31-2012, 09:07 AM.Comment

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
I was still in AAA when traded, and I hadn't put up very good stats up until that point. Also, it wasn't just Jose Bautista in the trade - Edwin Encarnacion and Francisco Cordero also got sent to Minnesota in the deal.Comment

Does anyone know how many levels the trainings go up to? I'm at about level 5 for most of them. Just curious.Comment

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
You mean like when the Boston Red Sox traded away Hanley Ramirez for Josh Beckett, Mike Lowell, and Guillermo Mota? Trades like that happen all the time, if you want a superstar you gotta take risks. Bubba Starling hasn't even played a game on the otherhand, and I wouldn't put him in upper echelon of valued prospects.

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
Well, I have finally made it in RTTS. I started using power swing with my power hitter and the pitchers are paying big time. Just hit my first multiple home run game with both of them being way over the big green monster.Comment

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
How do you figure thats more fair? At the time of the trade Hanley Ramirez had never played higher than AA, and the season he had before the trade was .271 6hrs, and 53 rbis. Josh Beckett was one of the most dominate young ace's in baseball, and Lowell was a proven elite hitter.Comment

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
Same is happening to me too. I'm killing it in AAA right now, third best SP on my team, and my stats are better than the number 4 & 5 starters in the majors and still not called up or added to the 40 man roster. I just keep telling myself that they're really getting me ready for a monster debut lolComment
