Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I'm playing with the Brewers and cannot stand pitching with the backend of the rotation. So, I was wondering about trying to acquire Vance Worley. What do you guys think it would take? A&B? 2 B's?
I'm willing to part ways with Tyler Thornberg to get him. Also, what could I get out of Marcum?Brewers | Golden Eagles | Packers | Bucks | Badgers | Fulham FC

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
it is incredibly hard in this game. a fair trade i think would be an ace, an all star fielder, and another solid starter.
and if you are playing with realism, the nats would never trade him. he is already one of the best pitchers in the game and hasn't played a full seasonThe Washington Redskins

If you don't wanna play him full time, Ben Zobrist (Rays) would be great off the bench. He's served me well in my last Sox franchise, as he can play a few positions, and has some pop equal to his average.
Chris Heisey (Reds) may not be ready to play full time, so bench duty would do him well. He can play all outfield spots (with C speed to boot), and his power against righties is insane! Check him out!
Edit: You should also check Brendan Ryan (Mariners). He doesn't have great contact or power, but he will maintain an average. Not a high one, but an average. He has C speed, and despite being one of, if not the best defensive shortstop in the game, SCEA gave him D fielding, so if you want to add realism, boost him fielding/arm accuracy to a B (if not an A).Last edited by RunningTheNight; 05-13-2012, 12:44 PM.Mariners - Cubs: 2012 World Series

Just playing around with the Angels and was wondering if this trade would be semi-realistic
Phillies receive:
Kendrys morales (B)
Johnny hellwig (B)
Angels receive:
Vance Worley (A)
Jim Thome (A) but he's 41
Thoughts?Last edited by cardinals57; 05-13-2012, 04:17 PM.Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
No one would accept Jim thome, he has ZERO trade value so take him out, and Morales doesn't have much trade value either until he can prove he can play a full season. So no this trade isnt very realistic at all.Comment

Alright, thanks for the input man. Im trying to see if I can get Worley on the Angels and that filled the bar all the way. I'm going to try other combinations to try and get him now.Comment

Do the Braves still have Kimbrel as CP and Venters as SU? Where would they put Hanrahan?

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I'm about 2 months into my Indians franchise. I am currently in a battle with Detroit for top of the division and whoever doesn't win will be home in October as Texas, LA, Tampa Bay, New York, and Toronto are all on pace for 95+ wins. I want to trade for a right handed power bat to plug into left field or first base because I haven't been able to get anything going. This is where I turn to you guys.
I really want Andruw Jones. He is doing OK for New York and not playing very much. Would it be fair to take him away from the Yankees? They aren't really hurting at any position like they are in real-life except for maybe a Starting Pitcher because I knocked Pineda out for the year. I am also considering guys like Gomes in Oakland, Heisey in Cincinnati, and Josh Willingham in Minnesota.Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I may do Ryan theriot or Brendon ryan
Ryan Theriot (Giants) has been one of my favorite players in the game for his bench work. He can play almost every position, and he always swings a hot bat.
If you don't wanna play him full time, Ben Zobrist (Rays) would be great off the bench. He's served me well in my last Sox franchise, as he can play a few positions, and has some pop equal to his average.

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Made these trades to shore up my rotation (Mets)...
1) Mets receive: SP Trevor Cahill
Dbacks receive: SP Johan Santana
2) Mets receive: SP David Price
Rays receive: 2B Daniel Murphy
-was very surprised that the Rays were so eager to make this trade (filled the interest bar)
So now my rotation is...
1) LHP D. Price
2) RHP T. Cahill
3) LHP J. Neise
4) RHP R.A. Dickey
5) RHP D. Gee
looking for a good lefty reliever, Mets only have 1 (T. Byrdak)Ryan Newman - 2008 Daytona 500 ChampionComment
