OSFM v1.5 I think, although I added the injured players back in their team line-ups (ie. Wilson in SF, etc). Werth's contract is $3.6, over the next 6 years. Got admit CPU is far more interested in Morse than Werth.

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Between the two, I think Morse...I think he has a higher value, which could mean a better return, and with Harper, Zimmerman and Werth (plus hopefully a good bat acquired in this trade) I think I'm better off with Werth's defense than keeping Morse for his offense.Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Ideally, in a very perfect world, I think I'd like to package Morse along with 2 other less important players, for that kind of package;
- CF with a bit of speed and good defense, that could be a lead off batter (or option B, used when Desmond/Espinosa needs some rest).
- C with a stronger arm than Ramos. I don't really care about the offense here, as long as he can make good throws, and block the plate.
- 1B that can provide some offense, and compensate a bit of power lost by trading Morse. If that offense comes by the CF, then he could strictly be defense.
It would be nice if one of them would be a lefty, but not a priority. And I'd like to keep salaries pretty much equals on both sides. I know, it's a lot... ;o)Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
like u stated before the Orioles would be a good trading partner for Morse....as well as Cleveland if ur ok with sticking him in LF everyday....Seattle (LF), ChiSox (move Rios to CF, Viciedo to RF, stick Morse in LF), Houston (RF), Pitt (LF), SD (LF)Steelers | Seminoles | A's | Rockets | Avalanche | Wildcats, Hoosiers | LiverpoolComment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Problem is, aside from the Orioles and Pittsburgh, the other teams don't seem to have much to offer in terms of CF. Guttierez is okay, but is he worth Morse. I know Morse is a defensive liability, but he's still a .300 30HR. Not sure I'm ready to pay that price for Guttierez.Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
He's a bit older than what I had in mind, but he's good defensively and has good speed. But I don't think the WS would allow me to fill more than one of my needs...doubt they would be looking to trade Konerko nor Pierzynski (who would fill my need for a bigger arm behind the plate), and I'm not touching Dunn at 1st base.
Would it make sense to use Morse at 1st base ? Just saw he had pretty much all the position listed at second position.Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I'm thinking this could actually be a better option...trading LaRoche to a team in need of a veteran 1st baseman, and depth in the outfield, for a good defensive CF, with decent speed. A less "arcadish" type of move than trying to acquire a star for a star...Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
i like this idea better too actually....off the top of my head, the Brewers can use an upgrade at 1B if Gamel isn't workin out, Athletics always get nothing out of 1B, Cleveland if Kotchman aint doin squatSteelers | Seminoles | A's | Rockets | Avalanche | Wildcats, Hoosiers | LiverpoolComment

I play as the Brewers (75 games in) with the CPU making their own trades and the Red Sox (trail the wild card by .5)just traded Ortiz (who was leading the AL in homers) and John Lester for a A 1B prospect and a C RP prospect from the Astros(the current worst team in the league).
AND this comes after trading for Eric Hosmer (young A 1B prospect) earlier in the year. So these guys now have Adrian Gonzalez and 2 A prospects behind him?
I swear this game sometimes...Comment
