In my opinion real-life factors should matter. Like rjackson was saying... if we could apply real-life factors, why wouldn't we? It only makes the trades more realistic.

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
d'Arnaud would have to be included, I'm sure. Rosario is a defensive liability at a key position so he'd have to learn to do better at 1b. Plus your highest or 2nd highest A SP--don't know who you still have? At least a mid-B RF...plus someone who did really well last year but really is not that good--if you are going for realism. It would simulate the quality of Colorado's front office (sorry Rox fans). That would be my opinion of a fair & realistic trade (and I'm assuming at how well the team is performing is similar to real life). It is just an opinion.Last edited by rjackson; 10-30-2012, 08:56 PM.Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
edit--AC, I'd give his value, generally speaking, between what you said in your counter and the first reply that you got . Specifically speaking to prying him from Colorado, you'd have to overypay especially considering that we are considering him devalued from our point of view but they overvalue him. Make sense? I'll leave it at that.Last edited by rjackson; 10-30-2012, 09:11 PM.Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
88, he seems to have injury problems every other year though...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Usually when you give a player a 10+ year contract that means you intend on keeping him, and personally I feel like Tulo is untouchable for the fact that the other 29 GMs wouldn't touch his contract with a 100 ft. pole so I highly doubt he's going anywhere. Plus, by the time he's in his mid 30's he won't hold much value anyway.
CarGo is a different story though, he's a year younger and has a much more favorable contract, IMO he's more desirable than Tulo. Elvis Andrus is pretty much the only high profile SS that can be had for a reasonable price at this point, although if anyone is further along in their franchise then I would look at either Nick Franklin or Brad Miller, the two cannot co-exist lol.Bakin' soda, I got bakin' sodaComment

That is...Spoiler
...
AC, you are the GM, not AA. However, you still have to deal with that Rockies front office and seanjeezy is right--they didn't sign him for that long without intending on keeing him. I say it isn' realistic without you giving up the farm--literally!
I'd love to get Moosetacos and Hosemeer but I haven't figured out how to pull that one off yet...Last edited by rjackson; 10-30-2012, 10:02 PM.Comment

Literally giving up the farm? I think you mean figuratively, the Blue Jays don't own a farm.
d'Arnaud and Moises Sierra. d'Arnaud is a ridiculously highly touted prospect (high A), so.."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment
