I know this is a while back but isn't Romero owed like $20 million from now til 2015 even though he's not even on the 40-man roster? An injury prone, soon to be arbitrational eligible .266/.324/.433 career hitter plus a minor leaguer making $7.5 million a year for three old, but productive players sounds like a decent deal to me if the Jays were in the hunt...which they aren't...

But I think I'm just going to hold off on trading for Lawrie/Romero right now regardless haha.

I would think Sano is a higher A than Buxton. But that may very well just be me.

Also, can anyone verify if Brett Anderson becomes an FA after the season, or if he goes into arbitration in the game? Because if he's gonna be an FA, I need to find a trade for him.
Bonifacio is a little too much for Beckett with a 4+ ERA. Is his DIPS the same? But then again, Small Sample Size. Also hge has a stupidly rediculous contract in which is one of the few reasons I hate Theo Epstien. Romero and low C will be the price if those stats keep up.

In my dynasty, he becomes a FA after year 2. He has a even service number, so when it's his time to hit FA, he will have exactly 6 years barring any injury or send downs.

Yes, do like AC says and please come check out my 'chise! The trade deadline has just passed in 2014, so you can come and see some good ones and some trades that you'll all hate Educational either way!

Buxton >>>> Sano imo. Nothing against Sano, just good god is Buxton good.

Beckett had a ~3.3 ERA with a nice K:BB ratio.

Wuuuut? We'll take this to PM so we don't waste space here.

Beckett has still been inconsistant. He'll have a god-like year, then a down-the-drain year. He's even considered etirement IRL. I would just wait 'til June to see what his stats look like. They also just acquired him too.

Buxton will be the consensus #1 prospect in baseball this time next year. I have little doubt.

Right now, MLB has Sano 10th and Buxton 17th. BP has Buxton 8th and Sano 21st. BA has Sano 9th and Buxton 10th. Fangraphs also has them back-to-back at Buxton 16th and Sano 17th. Needless to say this current picture of "who is better" is cloudy, but they're both heckuva good.

Buxton has a trajectory of 1 Mike Trout, and if I were Terry Ryan, Buxton would be as untouchable as untouchable could be.

As I said to AC in a PM, the fact of the matter is, both will grow to make a very, VERY scary Minnesota Twins team in a few years. Mixed in with Mauer, extremely scary!

What do you guys think of a Jesus Montero to Boston 2015 trade? Ortiz will most-likely retire, and I can't say Butler will be a 2015 FA.

I don't see why not. I suppose it depends how 2013 and 2014 went for Montero and what the 1B/DH situation looks like in Seattle.

The M's acquired Robby Cano this offseason. So second is covered. I moved Ackley to LF, but a plan could be to move him to 1B (which he's played before). Then move Franklin to DH (because he sucks on the field). Zunino is already called up so Montero is currently DH. So here's what the plan layed out is:

                    Zunino, C
                    Ackley, 1B
                    Franklin, DH
Jonny Gomes, LF (I'll include him in the trade)

or just keep Ackley in left and keep Smoak at first.

Nolasco was just dealt for Stephen Ames, Josh Wall and Angel Sanchez for those interested in realistic deals for Nolasco

Phillies are 3rd in the East and are 11.5 out. Rebuilding mode, Utley has been hurt and just came back at the end of the month of June.

On the spreadsheet it says 2 C players for Utley, so here are 2 teams looking for a 2B and in the race for a playoff spot.

                        Tampa Bay Send

Blake Snell - Class A (SP) Low B Potential
Cody Rogers - Class A (LF) Low D Potential

Would give the Rays who are in 1st place by 2 games, a bat that is much needed.

Raul Alcantara - Single A (SP) - High C Pot.

The A's are 7.5 out in the West.
I think the A's trade is much better for both sides imo

Ackley and Franklin are a pretty light-hitting AL 1B/DH duo, both are probably best served at 2B offensively. If you do add Gomes, then I'd think he'd be the better option at DH, and Smoak at 1B.
