Actually, these sliders are working very well with Knights rosters.

    For me, at least.

Same here. In fact I am getting even better results than before with knights rosters with theaub's edits.

Yep, a few games in to my franchise and my Sox are 2-0. Won game one, 6-3 and game two 4-3. Papelbon's new delivery looks very nice! Finally pitching from the stretch.

With the latest Knights/Aubs edits and Nemesis sliders, this game is now ready to be played...

See you guys when NCAA 2009 comes out.

I'm using them with Knight's rosters as well. I don't see how they wouldn't work well, as Knight never adjusted any attributes or anything of that nature.

Re: HOF Sliders (Project Nemesis MLB 08)

I'm currently using them with Aub's edits to Knight's rosters and haven't had any problems. My team ERA is 3.22, my average in the low to mid .200s, and my record 2-1. I won one game in extras, one on solidly, and got trounced in the third. I hit 2 HR in the home stand, not bad since Dodger Stadium is not a hitters park (one was a grand slam!), and had a couple of doubles. I gave up XBH, including a triple, so all seems to be well. The walk opportunities were there for me, and I gave up between 2-5 a game over the course of the series.

I'll keep going with these and giving periodic updates.

                  Nemesis,

I am using your most updated slider set with knight/jim's roster with theaub edits am having a hard time striking out the CPU. Can barely get 3 or 4 now with Harang, Cueto and Volquez and they are strike out pitchers. Any suggestions?

Re: HOF Sliders (Project Nemesis MLB 08)

My experience is that some nights your guys are just "off" or "on" and that the out pitch can vary from game to game. I just set down 11 with Zambrano vs. the Brewers in 7 1/3, most of those with a wicked slider that I switched from down in the zone to outside. After I had established that I went to the split for a couple of Ks and to the high hard one for a couple. So I think it's a mix of knowing what's working on a given night and setting up pitches. I have found that pounding a guy inside will sometimes make him take a pitch on the inner half, just because moving to the inside messes with the hitter's perception of the zone, like IRL. The same goes for stuff down and away. I've had frequent success (when I'm able to spot the pitches) throwing a couple of sliders just off the plate and then coming back and painting the black with a fastball. It's certainly not automatic, but it works reasonably well.

The other thing I would suggest is to vary locations. I fall into the habit of throwing the same pitch to the same zones, and when I do that I don't strike guys out as much. When I move it around, I get more Ks.

Anyway, I hope some of that helps. If I could just draw walks I'd be a happy camper.

Knights roster/Aub edits and still can't seem to get any doubles. So far I have 98 hits and 8 doubles and 8 HR's. THis is in 9 games.

Any adice Nem, maybe lower HQ a notch and bump out Power again?? I'm already at defualt for Power.

You can bring HQ a couple notches closer to default and I would not go any further than +1 for power. I am surprised you are not seeing doubles.

Those sliders are in game when you pause it and go to the slider section.

It has more to do with your approach in setting up hitters than adjusting sliders. You really have to work in and out of the strike zone and mix pitches well in order to get the "K".

Yeah I get that idea behind pitching (not trying to sound like a smarta** either) but before the edits I was able to get a decent amount of k's with Harang. Sometimes not many, but sometimes around 8 or 9. Now through 4 or 5 games using Harang, I can't manage to get over 5 in 7 or 8 innings and am usually around 3.

Maybe if I lower the plate discipline for the CPU?

Also, I am definitely not the only one having this issue so I know it isn't just me losing my lack of skills
