Re: HOF Sliders (Project Nemesis MLB 08)

I have actually been trying a few things with the sliders. I still use most of nemesis' sliders but here is what i have been working with and so far it is going well

      Human
      Hit Quality -10
      power +6
      timing window -10
      of run speed -5
      baserunner speed -1

      cpu
      hit quality -10
      power +8
      timing window -5
      of run speed -10
      baserunner speed -2

i know the power looks kind of high but it actually works out well with hit quality and timing window being so low.

        Interesting stuff...

        Do you use "Power Swing"?
        Do you use "Guess Pitch"?
Do you use the left stick to "Aim"?

          Nem,

Why such a big drop in CPU Hit Quality. Is there that much of a difference from the patch? I just played a couple games and Im seeing the comp not hitting as well as they were. Should I use your original -10 for CPU HQ? Let me know what ya think like i said I only played a couple games so I dont know if its anything but I just shut down the Blue Jays pretty good.

I have my cpu hit quality at +6 from default and I still have games where the CPU gets 5 hits and game where they get 10+.

Nemesis, great job on these! I am using them on all-star with a few tweaks (I am not very good at this game) and they are fantastic. I am seeing a whole variety of games and getting some great stats in the process. I had a game last night where Jon Garland was beyond awful, I could not get anyone out for nothing, the Blue Jays got 8 straight hits to begin the game and scored 8 in the first. It was the first time in years I had to take out my pitcher in the first inning. Halladay on the other hand was nearly unhittable, it was just one of those games. I got blasted 16-2, but enjoyed every minute of it. These sliders along with the patch have made this game by far the best baseball game I have ever played.

Post patch and with the latest roster update the cpu has been hitting balls extremely hard. So I toned down the HQ to soften the hits a little and I currently have it set at default.

Thanks for the feedback and for giving them a try! My past few games have had a lot of diversity with the latest slider set. Have fun!!

The timing window slider has no affect on the cpu batters.

Have these sliders been uploaded on Sportsconnect? I've been playing default and quickly getting bored with this game, at the moment I seem to lose 1 or 2 games every 10, and I don't have a great team!!!

The latest version is not on sports connect but it is pretty quick to plug them in.

Nem. I'm loving these--getting lots of variety and some really great games. My lone question at this point has to do with errors. If I read your latest updates correctly, you have IF and OF errors at +6 across the board--that is producing 3-4 errors per game total for me. It seems like a bit much. Have you seen this?

The only errors I am seeing are throwing errors and I have that set the lowest out of the 3. I am not seeing any outfield errors at all.

Can you edit the first page of this thread to reflect your latest version????

I'd really like to see your more recent sliders.

I have been seeing some groundballs go through the legs of the infielders from time to time. (+7 up 1 from your set for both player and cpu). Of note Nemesis the +5 Cpu throw strength has to be the best find of slider adjustment so far. I really gotta think twice before sending a runner on any sharp line-drive now. Just yesterday I had Rafael Furcal get gunned down at the plate by Willie Tavares, and I am still thinking about it today. I thought when the ball went up the middle it was an automatic run, and was more concerned about getting the guy rounding first up to second. This play at the plate would of put me up 3-2 going in to the ninth, but I ended up losing 4-2 in 11 innings.
