Thanks, yes I have noticed that hard liners in the gap are sometimes cutoff (I haven't played a ton of games yet). I think I will give it a go.

so are you lowering both cpu and human outfielder speeds to -5, if so what do you have human fielder speed slider set at?

        Last Game (same Adjustments)

        CHC 0 3 2
        ARZ 2 6 0

        Lilly - 7IP 5H 2ER 0BB 4K
        Haren - 9IP 3H 0ER 0BB 5K
(90 Pitches - just cruised in the game. I think I played the whole game during the PAdres REal-Life bot 5th (they sent 11 or 12 men to the plate).

        ARZ Hitting - HR (Byrnes)
        CHC hitting - 2B(Derosa)

Another fun pitchers duel, these ARZ pitchers are filthy. Next game I'll have to see if the Big Unit can keep it up.

Re: HOF Sliders (Project Nemesis MLB 08)

Sometimes I see it, Sometimes I don't. Last game didn't see any slow down with (-5) but then switched to (-3) in the 8th and they seemed to slow down...I'm so lost now..

            ARZ 5 11 0
            CIN 6 9 2

            R.Johnson - 6IP 8H 6ER 0BB 6K
            Owings(traded for Cuerto in my mini season) - 7IP 8H 2ER 0BB 3K

            ARZ hitting - 2B (Hudson,Byrnes,Upton)
            CIN Hitting - 2B(Griffey) 3B (Owings,Keppinger) HR(Valentin)

They scored 5 in the 4th, I returned the 5-spot in the 8th to make the game close.

lower their Plate Dicipline..it might help..

also im starting to think the Vision slider works for both CPU and HUMAN(remember briand talking about a vision slider for the CPU, althought it wasnt in the game)

the reason why im thinking that is becasue ive beeing running some tested with my vision set to 20, and in those game i could barely strike out 3 CPU batters with harden....
while when i play with my sliders(i use -5 for vision) i can strike out 8-10 a game easily with a good strike out pitcher like harden.

Another great game, Hou had runners on 2nd and 3rd in the 9th and Wiggington lined one to right center that young tracked down for the win.

Even though Brian said there should be a vision slider for the cpu, it can't be a global slider.

YA so far I've been having great games with these, my only complaints is not enough walks for the computer, but thats probably a problem for most. I think it may have to be a global edit with my human pitchers.

                        ARZ 3 10 0
                        MIL 4 13 1
(really 7 runs for MIL thanks to a walk-off GS by braun)

                        M.Parra - 7IP 8H 3ER 2BB 6K
                        K.Mclellan - 4IP 7H 3ER 0BB 2K

                        ARZ hitting - 3B (Young) HR(Hudson)
                        MIL hitting - 2B (Braun 2,Hart) 3B (Weeks) HR(Fielder,Hall,Braun (GW GS that didn't count))

Only complaint so far has been with the walks issue...any way to fix this without the edits Nem?? I currently use Classic with no aids.

yes I am lowering both cpu and human outfielder speeds and I have human fielder speed slider set at 10(default). Haven't seen a reason to adjust it.

I haven't had any problems striking out the CPU even with mediocre pitches. You have to get ahead on the corners, and set-up batters. For instance, a high fastball out of the zone can look an awful lot like a curve you threw earlier. Change speeds. Don't forget to use your change up if your pitcher has a decent to good one. This works really well. A change up out and away to a hitter slightly out of the strike zone gets a lot of strike outs for me if I set up the batter.

Here's another tip. Change the eye level of the CPU batter. For instance if you have 2 strikes on the CPU, throw them one or two high fastballs, if that doesn't strike them out, then come back with a splitter or another pitch low out of the strike zone. Also, don't be afraid to walk people on occasion and not give in. There are guys like Prince Fielder using Nemesis sliders that you really don't want to give in to. Make him go after YOUR pitches, and if he doesn't it doesn't hurt to walk him now and then and go after some weaker batters, but be careful.

They gave us too much control with classic this year. The only way we can take it further is by edits unfortunately.
