I'm in the same boat. I hit my share of gappers, so I get my doubles and triples, but I can't hit homers for the life of me.

I'm on Game 6 of my O's franchise right now. I'm 4-1, I have 6 homers and 3 doubles, only one being a gapper. The rest are singles. I love the game variety, as like you said, I've had games where each team gets over 10 hits and games under 10 hits. I just wish I would hit more balls into the gap, but the sliders are so great that I'll take the pros with the cons when it comes to them.

Everything will average out over a series of games. I had 8 doubles through a series of 10 games and was getting the same results alot of singles a few gappers etc..., but then my last 3 games I have had 11 doubles. All of sudden I have 19 doubles through 13 games. Believe me it averages out. I am 37 games into my season with 58 doubles, 27th ranked in the doubles department. I an 3-4 games behind the league so I am looking to move up from 27th soon.

Yeah, I believe it's all about getting the timing down and I'm still trying to catch up to the pitch speed. It's amazing how many stupid pitches I know not to swing at and I still hit the button. I'm still striking out 7-10 times a game and love every minute of it.

The home runs are there guys you just have to work for them. If you use the left stick for aiming the bat and meet the ball well, they will come easier. Also, the power swing button DOES NOT = home runs, just remember!!

Well, i was a little curious to see if i could hit HR's with these sliders, as it seems alot of people are saying its hard with these sliders. I hit 2 with Pena (using regular swing) and one with Upton (using power swing) in one game. Pena and Upton actually had back to back jacks. And had a one other XB hit....so it is possible!

I know it must be something I'm doing wrong, but I just don't get HR. I use the L-stick, I work my way into hitters counts, etc., but I get one HR every several games. I've not had more than one in a game since I've been using these, but everything else has been good stat wise.

Gonna try these out because I'm killing the CPU now with Knight's post-patch All Star Sliders. Feel as if I'm rightly progressing in my skills at the game and hope these sliders do the job at 'levelling the playing field' so that it feels as if the CPU is on my level.

I'm going to turn Guess Pitch Off, disable API, disable hot/cold zones and change from Meter to Classic Pitching. I'll let you know how it goes.

Keep working at it man. They will come. I have 7 now in 9 games so far. My issue was doubles, but I hit 3 my last game. It will equal out over time.

hello, I downloaded your sliders through the game online and was wondering if those are up-to-date or did you make some changes since you uploaded them there? If so can you tell me what the most recent version is? What pg of this thread it's on, or?

I just downloaded these, and wanted to let you know what happened.

I was playing in my 'chise with the Cubs, and we were facing the Phillies. Ryan Howard flat out killed me, hitting 4 home runs the series. I hit about 4 home runs all series. But the thing that bothered me was in game one, Cole Hamels hit 4 of my batters. I'm not sure if it is because of the sliders, or he just had bad command.

Is there anything needed to change from the sliders on SportsConnect? That's where I downloaded them from.

I had the exact same thing happen to me the first time I tried these sliders with CC Sabathia hitting 4 batters. I think he hit Troy Glaus 3 of the 4 times but I haven't had it happen since.

Haven't checked the thread for awhile Nem, but I was just curious, are you planning on making some more edits to the sliders?

Finished up my first series with these sliders. Im the Rays and took on the Orioles in a 3 game set. First game i won 1-0 on a 3rd inning HR froM Crawford. Kazmir went 6.1 IP with 6 K's and 1 or 2BB. I struck out 8 times and walked once. No XB hits for me or CPU (except for HR). I believe i had 7 hits to their 4.

Game 2 i lost 4-2. Shields struck out 4, walked 2. I struck out 7 times and was walked none (i lost patience). had a double and CPU hit 2 HR's. I had 6 hits, CPU had 6 or 7.

Game 3 i won 2-1. had an RBI single in first and an RBI single in 7th. Gave up a solo HR to Mora in 8th. Had 1 triple, 2 doubles. Only had 7 hits, CPU had 6. I struck out 5, walked 3. CPU struck me out 11 times but walked me 4 times.

If i can get some patience, i think the CPU will walk you with these sliders. In the game i lost (Cabrera was pitching against me), he was getting his first pitch over 8% of the time. I very rarely could get ahead in the count and wait on a pitch. Game 3 Loewen was way off, and i was constantly ahead 2-0 3-2 and waiting for my pitch. I think the walks are there for the CPU.

Issues im having are not so much the HR or XB hits (i had a few in the series), and i know its only 3 games, but im dead last in walks taken, strikeouts (both for and against me). I strike out about 8 times a game, and average 1 walk per game for me. and i only strike out about 4 batters per game. Seems it should be higher.

I think ill give it another 5-8 games, but i would like to see a few more things. I feel im pretty patient at plate, i ALWAYS take the first pitch unless i get a reliever or guy who has shown he throws a certain pitch alot (jamie walker always started me with a 4SFB). Id like to see more walks both for and against me, and more striekouts of the CPU (and less for me), and some more hits. 5 hits a game right now, id expect one or two breakout games ina while.

Overall, im pretty happy though.
