First, if it is linked(I do not feel that it is) it is by error because it is an individual adjustment. It is like having the power slider for human and cpu linked globally, does not make much sense.

I'm still tryining to figure out which slider could lead into more walks. What do you think about Pitch Count slider? I recently played a game against SD. Maddux started for them and he has a very good BB/9 ratio, but I was able to draw 3 walks in 4 Innings against him (1 IBB) and 5 for the whole game (could have been more if it wasn't a blowout and if I were more concentrate in the later Innings)
Is nobody from SCEA able to tell us which slider really effects the walks?

BTW: I hate to hit with pitchers. I hit 3-3 (4 RBI) with Derek Lowe, at least all of them were singles. It seems too easy to get a hit with pitchers. The only thing I can do is loweringt pitchers hitting attributes

          MEM hitting - 2B(Hoffpauir)
          RIC Hitting - 2B (Arnold) 3B (Heyward)

I couldn't walk anyone with the minor leaguer either. My main gripe is when I'm in a 3 ball count espically full count I will try and hit the corners, and when my pitcher misses 90% of the time he misses it for a mistake pitch in the middle of the plate. He won't miss out of the strike zone. Still had a blast with the minor league game though.

you don't walk your opponents? that's pretty unusual. I give up at least 3 BB per game.

It seems like I made the perfect slider-settings for me. I just finished a game Dodgers (me) vs. Pirates and walked a "the show 08" high of 7 times! Could have been more if I didn't lead 12-2 after 3 Innings. The damn Pirates rallied to 12-11, but Broxton and Saito saved the game for me.

I am 1000% convinced that the "pitch control" slider has to be all the way DOWN. test it and you will see that the cpu throws a lot of balls.

            Great finding for me

I'm using meter pitching with Nems sliders and usually walk a few a game, but I don't give in to batters. Maybe my reflexes are slower now that I am getting older though

For Nem or anyone else, while playing with these sliders, are you leaving guess pitch and location on or are you turning it off completely?

i tested...it does throw balls(didnt feel it was more than with it at +10) but at the same time he left way too many stuff in the middle of the plate...
                  too much hittable stuff.

Re: HOF Sliders (Project Nemesis MLB 08)

I admit, I only played 1-2 games with it. I think the first one was with control at -10 and were able to get 6-7 walks (against Maddux who has great control)

The second one against pirates was 100% at pitch control -10. I swear I was never able to draw that many EASY walks. The cpu didn't miss by 1 inch like he usually did.
You could be right about the "easy hitting" part as in both games I scored a lot of runs. Maybe -10 won't get it done, because you'll get too many hits, but something closer to -5 could be very good for the gameplay.

I am going to play a few games more on pitch control -10 and see if the walk-trend continues, but I really think so.
Pitch Count slider could also be a factor for more balls.

Re: HOF Sliders (Project Nemesis MLB 08)

I've been playing with Nem's sliders for a while now -- probably a total of 20 games in different modes (franchise, season, exhibition, etc.). I've stopped posting my results from every game because they're all the same (fun game, this happened, that happened, blah blah blah). You guys don't really care, anyway. Just know they produce very realistic stats for both myself and the CPU.

The only gripe I have is, yes, the walks. I recently changed the pitch speed from +2 to -5 (my reflexes are getting slow with my old age). That has helped me tremendously in getting walks against the CPU. As long as I stay in the mind set of being patient and not up there hacking, I can get a decent amount of walks, especially from lower-tier pitchers.

The only tweaks I gave the sliders are PITCH SPEED from +2 to -5, and HUMAN POWER from -1 to 0. I'll probably be changing it back to -1, though.

As far as OF SPEED, I changed it to -3 for both me and CPU. Not sure it makes a difference. I've seen a couple odd routes taken by the CPU to a ball in the gap that resulted in a double. I don't remember seeing that as much with OF SPEED at default.

                          Hey Nemesis,

Have you been seeing the catcher check down with the umpires when the CPU check's it swing? This is the only thing I dont have happen. I think maybe 2 times this has happened over the last 50 games or so. Is this slider related? Thanks

It does not happen as often as with the human players. The cpu does not check too often and it is not slider related.

At first look, I did not see too much difference post patch. The more I play, I think I have a different opinion.

Some things I have been noticing post patch:

1- The hit variety seems to be elevated here. I have been seeing some interesting flare type hits.

2- The control with classic pitching has been reduced and seems to be more like 07

3- The human offense seems to be toned down a little in regards to left stick aiming. When the game was first released, it seemed like you got a huge contact bonus for making a perfect left stick match with the ball.

4- The cpu offense seems to be a little more livelier but not to the degree of 07. They are starting to get more extra base hits this go around.

On a separate note, I was playing the Orioles and the catcher did a fake passed ball routine on me. It had Damon hung out to dry between second and third. I have never seen that before in this game. I was like, I just got played!

My initial impression was that the cpu offense was boosted dramatically, but after a couple more games I scrapped everything I had been doing and went back to basically your latest sliders. I think the variety that is inherent in this game makes it tough to tell what exactly has been done with this patch.
