I'm using the same sliders and this isn't happening to me at all. I don't know where people are getting this from? Unless it's the 5th and his pitch count is 90+ and energy is depleted.

Seriously, why is everyone complaining about hitting HRs? Unless you're hitting 5 HRs every game or Brett Gardner has a 10 HR month, chill.

      1. HRs are ****ing awesome

      2. There are times IRL where 5,6, or even 7 HRs are hit in a game.

27 games into a very mediocre Reds season, I'm 14-13 despite being dead last in MLB in Batting Average. Why? Because I've only made 4 errors and have a .996 fielding percentage plus a MLB 3rd 2.55 ERA with a rag tag bunch of pitchers for the most part. I've only allowed 77 runs, yet I'm allowing plenty of walks. It's just that the CPU doesn't hit and I make virtually no mistakes in the field.

I put the computer contact up to 6 and have been testing for about 8 games and I have giving up more hits and run. I am still able to strike out guys as well. Give it a try

It is a base set folks.

Simply tweak it if you don't feel it is right for you.

One click up on contact for the CPU and you will be fine.

            Everyone plays this game differently.

And of course 27 games is nothing over a 162 game season.

But if can't trust the settings over 162 games I can't help you.

Probably because not everyone enjoys playing baseball like its the steroid era and the ball is jumping out of the park with wreckless abandon. I've only played 2 games so I won't even begin to say whether its an issue for me or not, I have hit 6 HR's in 2 games with Seattle so it's something I'll for sure keep an eye on but 2 games does not make a sample size. Having said that, just as a generic reply to the notion that people should just be excited to hit HR's, I'm sure they would be if they felt more earned for them and less of a gimme.

I agree sir. I do play the game pretty much the same way you play it and have for years. I just remembered last year after you put the computer contact up to 6 there offense was awesome and I gave up a lot more runs. I have had the same issue through 37 games my braves lead the league with 2.76 era and I don't think they are that good. Lol. My question to you is how many runs are you giving up a game. I do watch some of your games online but I'm to addicted to playing this game myself so can't watch them all. Lol. I love the sliders and appreciate all the work and the great feed back on this great game.

I've have went 3 to 4 games without hitting hr with these sliders and just a couple days ago I had a game with 28 combines hits and 1 hr. So there are plenty of games that you have to drive in runs with base hits. But don't tell it doesn't feel awesome when you drop a bomb

That's pretty good the Mariners IRL have hit 5 in their last two. If you look at the box scores everyday they are pretty much hitting homers like it's the steroid era again. Last year was the most homers hit since the roid era. Matt Holiday hit one 459 ft last night for the Yanks He's 37 years old. The ball is flying again for sure!!

Honestly it felt great the first game when I hit 2, when I hit 4 more in the second game it didn't feel as good lol.

On an unrelated note, the one thing I'm really enjoying is that the CPU has 9 hits in each of my first 2 games. On last years game when I was playing as the Dodgers I shut teams down far too often and the BA against was way too low where as right now it's nearly spot on to MLB averages, again small sample size obviously. It seems like the potential issues going forward can be remedied for myself (CPU throwing a few too many balls right down the heart of the plate and any excess in power if it begins to become worrisome) which is a good thing as typically I spend countless hours trying to figure out how to fix issues that are already fixed with these sliders.

Once I play through May and am about to begin June in my proper 2017 Yankees franchise I will report back with stat's.

But I want two full months of playing every game and every pitch.

In my test franchise....I was getting all kinds of great variety and results using every team around the league just to get this slider set out.

Now that I have settled on the settings, I am playing and enjoying the game immensely.

I also want that large 1.04 patch to drop and see what the notes say and then what I actually see and feel with actual gameplay before anything is potentially tweaked.

As of right now and since 2.5 was released and OSFM 1.5 dropped. I am settled in and playing the game full steam ahead. I have so much going on between the 2017 Yankees, 1996 Yankees replay and my fantasy Cardinals in YR2 plus my adventure in the 1987 RTTS.

Crazy good times. And that forth coming patch is going to clean some stuff up big time.

This for me is easily the best sports game I have ever played in my life.

Have you gotten to the playoffs yet with these sliders? I'm there now and am getting wonky results with the starting pitchers - Giolito vs Syndergaard in Game 1 of ALDS, and now it's SIX days later for Game 5 and neither of them have recovered to full stamina. I play every game.

However when I simulate every game, Giolito and Syndergaard are both good to go for game 4, just 4 days later. This is more realistic. I've run a bunch of sims and they're almost always ready to go for game 4, whether they pitch 5 or 9 innings in game 1.

Got it thanks man. This definitely is the greatest sports game ever I'm so addicted to it LOL. I'm almost through May in my Braves franchise playing every pitch. I am seeing great games just my pitching is a little too good. I would let you know how my test is going with the computer contact on 6. Like I said before I'm only through eight games with it there but I'm seeing more offense and I'm happy with that.

Well know. Stamina is reduced in the post season and it is a design decision.

I should have posted this on the OP.

I use a post season set for human pitching stamina adjustment.

Don't worry what the stamina bar says just start them and put your human starter stamina to 7 (from 6).

Let me know how it goes as far as how long they go. Also remember if you use max effort alot they tire much quicker in the game.
