    Nice try man.
Don't think I have played any game in the last 20 years that didn't have some sort of bug in it. Patches have been a complete game saver for a lot of games. I hope we get one soon for the catcher play this year. The catchers block the ball beautifully it looks great but the animation on recovery is to slow and the base runners seem to know this. Another thing I have seen is maybe too many jump throws.

The devs seem to love this in the streams so I doubt it gets addressed and it is just a minor annoyance for me. Would like to see more of the off balance side arm throws vs the jump. They look incredible. All and all this title is the biggest jump forward in years. I don't play online though DD or any of those things where it looks like most of problems are this year. I am thoroughly enjoying the game this year!!

          You had me at 'Strat-o-Matic'

I may be a Sox fan, but I will trust anyone who references 'Strat-o-Matic' when referring to realistic baseball simulations. I didn't need the graphics — just a 20-sided dice, lol.

I appreciate all of your work year-in and year-out. I tend to stay out of the dialogue, but always use them. I would be this forums version of a 'long time listener, first time caller.'

Keep it up, and if anyone has seen the OSFM Red Sox version, please let me know!

              Just a quick question:

I don´t want the game changing the difficulty dinamicaly in face of my skill. I want the game to be always constant in difficulty.

Should i move the dinamic difficulty slider from 5 (these sliders set it at 5) to 0?

Nope. Unless you actively select Dynamic Difficulty (instead of All Star/ Hall of Fame) that slider won't have any effect.

                  - My absolute pleasure my man, and welcome!! I love strato-matic as well as statis pro. My son and I still pull out those games once or twice a year and play a 7 game world series and pick different teams all the time. Loved my table top baseball games back in the day. Ultra realistic to say the least. I think that is why I can enjoy The Show so much, because I can immerse myself and make up my own storylines in my head every game, every month of my season. Now with streaming I get to share my imagination with my followers who tune in to catch my various franchises. Cheers man.

                  - In your gameplay settings set hitting and pitching to All-Star not Dynamic difficulty. Then this will eliminate that feature. The slider will play no role if you do this.

Sounds good man. I'm excited for the OSFM's as well. Just doing a practice RTTS to get sliders down before the real deal with OSFM's. I have a modified set of your sliders I've been trying and tweaking that I think works a little better for RTTS. I'd be happy to share and discuss them once you're trying them out in RTTS as well.

That depends. If you change the difficulty to anything but Dymanic, like Veteran or All-Star it will never change. Now, if you're talking about you have it set to Dymanic Difficulty and you're locked in where you want to be I do believe you if move the slider to 0 it won't change. But the slider doesn't do anything if you're in another difficulty besides DD.

Thanks to all replies about the Dynamic difficulty! I imeddiately put in the All-Star difficulty and never got to notice that there is a Dynamic one that makes the slider active.

                          Thanks!

I will drink to that! I still remember getting the new teams every year and breaking down the cards! Anxiously hoping the September call-ups got enough at-bats or innings pitched to get a card in the 'additional' set! Good times, and glad I am not the only one who still dusts it off once in a while! I couldn't enjoy the show if it didn't do an amazing job at blending graphics, gameplay and the depth of the minor league systems! Once I start playing I will see if I have any worthwhile feedback, but I think you will be well ahead of where I am at!

One quick question I do have, and it is not urgent, as I can only imagine how much you get pinged with questions, but how do you go about figuring out a good 'ball-to-strike' ratio from not only CPU pitchers but the human pitcher as well? I tend to find myself tinkering with that most often. One of my strong suits is knowing the strike zone and drawing a decent amount of BB's, but I never seem to issue too many, so it seems almost unfair. Just curious, and Cheers to you!

Yeah...that is the toughest part of the game for me. I don't issue nearly as many walks as I draw. Josh1977 came up with a great suggestion in turning off the controller "vibration" and that combined with no ball marker will yield you a much better balls to strike ratio and also amp up the challenge.

I am going to try that as I play my 2017 Yankees spring training (oh yes we are playing Spring Training to get acquainted with that wonderful haul of prospects the Yankees took in last season) which will begin this weekend!

So I will report back how that goes (I am prepared to get lit up too LOL)

Had to share with all the talk about quick hooks. Now I have seen a few I have questioned but this one to me doesn't get any more realistic.

                                Bot 6: 86' Mets up 3-1 over 82' Braves

Darling pitching well for CPU but does have an elevated pitch count mid 70's.

Gets the first hitter on a called strike. Pitch count now 83.

Next hitter singles first pitch fastball.

Walks the next batter. Pitch count 92 figured here may be the hook but no.

Walks next batter. Pitch count 98 surely here right? Still no.

Bases loaded and he is still in there!

Needless to say next batter singles in two runs to tie the game. Now the hook!!

Slider set at 2 is giving me very realistic situations. I have seen guys pitch into the 7th and 8th inning more now. Truthfully though I have not seen to many questionable hooks to begin with as some have. Also no homers in the game from either team. I won 5-4!!
