This is how I play as well. I run 30-team control as to avoid reality dumb trades by other teams. However, if there’s a trade in real life and it’s within a reasonable time frame of my season, I’ll make it happen on the game.

Thanks for replying. I'm gonna take your guys advise. Another question. I don't follow baseball as much as I do basketball and football. How would you suggest I determine if a couple trade is "dumb" or not? Is it gonna basically personal opinion?

I have a question about auto Fielding. Doesn't that completely take control away from the player? I'm curious why that would be better.

I think that's what I'm going to do. The micromanaging in 2K wears me out at times so I don't think I wanna do it in The Show. The game needs a trade approval option like 2K. That would really help when a dumb trade comes along.

Run 30 team control. Armor has a great write up on it in the OP. It's fantastic and seemless.

A few ways.

1. There is a trade thread here where people will help.

2. Or there is a value meter for trades in the trade screen.

3. Also ask yourself if the trade makes sense for both teams. Example, are the red Sox going to trade mookie betts for three 50A overall prospects?

In the end, it is what is fair to you. I play my own way because I want the universe to be my own.

I have a question about auto Fielding. Doesn't that completely take control away from the player? I'm curious why that would be better.

Auto fielding will take away you controlling their movement. There is also an option for auto throwing. I use auto fielding and manual throwing. I like rating to take effect for fielding the ball but I want control of where it goes.

Me too i tried many times to mimic real life, set all start of season injuries as IRL. Last year is decided to do a what if season :-) What if all injured players gone for the season ( like some Tommy John’s) would be in their respective team from the beginning.

And i really enjoyed it. For sure don’t expect the standings in some cases to be the same as IRL. Sometimes a big contender can just fail to deliver cause of injuries to big stars or a team who underperformed IRL will suddenly pop up.

Maybe, just maybe if one day it’s possible to create roster with preset injuries and the injury system itself is upgraded then I may give it a try again. Meanwhile, I’m enjoying my little baseball microcosm.

That's what thought. What about diving/jumping for balls? I don't mind if the CPU controls the fielder's running but I think it'll bother me if I can't make my own diving catches etc.

I am. I just wish the game had some of the features with 30 team control 2K has. I read that if a dumb trade happens you basically gotta go in and trade the players back. In 2K you can just not approve it which is nice.

I don't do 30 team control. I am too much of a perfectionist in life so I have to be the opposite in gaming or as others have said, I will end up losing my mind making things perfect. I let the CPUs bad trades go through and just laugh at their GM or usually let my 10 year old do his professional trash talking thing which makes it totally worth it.

Hi guys,a couple of quick questions. I bat and pitch on Allstar. To give HUM & CPU a tiny bit more offense each, would I up Contact 1 ? Or up solid hits 1 ? Also,would this set be good for Simming a bunch of games ? I don’t have to much playing time. Thanks again in advance for any response .
