Im on all star for both and im seeing home runs at a realistic rate. Im using fish eye 2. I get the best results off that.

I had to really work with the camera this year to pick up the ball well and time up that fb. Now im locked in and it plays great.

I even kept solid hits at 4 , im seeing a good amount of them. I feel on all star i dont want to get too much of a boost on 5.

Yeah I dunno it's probably just me. I really think the Ray's lineup is part of the issue.

One thing that I miss is the distance on homeruns. Finally playing my 1st game of my Yankees franchise. After 6 innings I’m up 7-2. Yankees have hit 5 doubles and 3 homers (with human solid hits at 4) and the Orioles have hit a double and homer. None of the 4 homers hit showed the distance. Is it just random?

If it's opening day, you're probably on the MLB Network theme. I find the distance doesn't often show up on that one (and I think it's by design because they want it to replicate the actual MLB Network graphics, although I don't get MLB Network and couldn't say for sure how it looks). Check the game log and sometimes it'll show the distance if the scorebug doesn't.

The two generic themes definitely show distance (and exit velocity) in a drop-down from the score bug.

I use pulse since it’s the closest to classic that still allows some control over the outcome.

I’ve used it for the past 3 years, but something has definitely changed this year. Rarely does the CPU swing at pitches out of the zone with 2 strikes, and when it does it’s foul ball city.

Never had problems pitching in the past, but this year it’s becoming a game killer for me.

I keep trying classic and it's just not working for me. I get that it's supposed to be the most sim, but I'm not seeing it. Pitchers don't always hit their spots but mine are missing far more often than not. Sometimes it's not even close.

Interesting. It was opening day and my Yankees won 8-3. In total 5 homers were hit. I went to the reply vault and one homer showed the distance (one of the Orioles). Too bad as Voit hit one that almost went to the moon!! Thanks for the input

First off, id like to say that this is the 1st year I agree with every single slider A&S has provided. These are playing fantastic and i wouldnt touch anything unless an update forces it. My main point however, is about the "other" settings. Ive been playing with no pitching cursor(with vibration) and have been doing it for years successfully. This year, however, im personally tighter on time and find that the "classic fade" cursor speeds up the game when I pitch. Im not always just "feeling" around. I lowered the HUM PIT CONS to 4 to compensate. Its working well. Im just curious how everyone else is playing, what difficulty, and the results they are getting. Thanks.

Game after being no hit, I get shut out again - only four hits. Then I go down to Miami and promptly breakout for 13 runs, 6 big boys!

I'm telling you man the variety of games I'm getting is absoulouty amazing. So as soon as I think hitting is easy I have got the **** kicked out of me for the last 7 games. My team cant hit anymore. I was averaging 5 runs a game the first 22 the last 7 or 8 games I'm averaging 1.5 runs a game. And last night I finally broke back out again I scored 9 runs and than 7 runs in back to back games. So awesome.

Man, this is the first year in a long time I’m really struggling to enjoy the game. The lack of strikeouts is really starting to get to me, bad. And while I appreciate the attempts at advice, I really don’t need any. I know how to pitch. I’m top ten in the league every year on this game using Armor’s sliders. This year hitting is just easier. Plain and simple. I’m leading the league in batting average (something I have NEVER done) and I’m dead last in strikeouts. Lester’s K/9 is around 5 and in real life his career K/9 is around 9. Darvish’s K/9 is sitting around 6 while his real life numbers are 11. Not once this year have I struck out the side. One game I had 10 total strikeouts, that’s the most I’ve had in a game. I just can’t see a starter ever going something like 7 innings with 12 k’s. Just not gonna happen.

And I don’t want to get into messing with settings and sliders. I know what level I play on. I know where my sliders usually are, I don’t want 30-40 games just to test out a new set.

Hopefully I see some changes come soon, if not this may be a short year for MLB for me. Especially if Cyberpunk 2077 releases in 2019.

Damn man that sucks. I hate to hearing anyone not enjoying the game. Man all I can say is I'm not seeing what your seeing. My last three games I've have strike out 9,8,11. I know you probably have played plenty of games but I wouldn't let bother you. I mean Darvish isn't really having a great year so far in real life. Maybe he just isn't having a good start for you.

I try not to ever let stats ruin the game for me. I would say just enjoy the game because it is pretty damm awesome and maybe the strikeouts will come.

I am actually trying All Star pitching cause it seems easier for me to get the AI to chase. They are now averaging about 8 strikeouts a game now.

In 6 games the cpu’s Batting average is .226 (little low would like about 30 more points) and the BABIP is .276. But they have 7 doubles and 5 HR in the 6 games. Should I raise cpu power or solid hits to maybe give them a few more extra base hits? But I’m not wanting to give them more HR.

I can answer this as I’m on All Star Pitching and Hitting in my test Franchise while I wait for FM V2. I have CPU Solid hits at 5 and ATM and for the first time ever I am being outpaced by the CPU in base hits. I can’t believe how good All Star is playing this year!

Do you feel like you have any control over this? I ask because at times with sports games I get a scripted feeling when using sliders. 2K gives me that feeling a lot. This is my first time playing the show since 13.

I do actually. Once my team starting slumping I found myself pressing and chasing all kinds crap. I never got myself in good counts to hit. You have to be patient in this game to hit well. I mean ofcourse this is a video game but I definitely feel like hitting is all about your approach and that makes a difference.

You were bang on. After my Yankees crushed the Orioles 8-3 on opening day (5 combined homers and distance shown on only 1) they are beating up on the Orioles again in game 2, up 7-1 after 3 innings. Mancini and Voit have homered and both showed distance. Weird. Thanks

Lol. That's funny. I will say I think I have had 2 maybe 3 double digit K games with starter so far. They will come. But man it definitely is alot harder to strike guys out. Good luck with it man.
