Your team might just be in a hitting slump. That definitely happens.

That is what I’m currently testing. Power and solid hits at 5 was a little too powering and actually was seeing too many doubles from them. I feel like the game plays a little better on HOF than legend.

Thanks so much for the reply B!

ok ... i'm loading up the game and will try them out. 🙏

so pitching and hitting is all set to HOF, with the slider adjustments doing everything else. I'm on it!

and the game is replicating this pretty well to my taste. I imagine it should not be easy if you're testing sliders in Franchise mode. Isolated Practice mode & exhibition mode with always the same set of players is probably the way to go.

It feels like in the past few years, pitcher confidence, hot and cold streaks make a huge difference in how players perform in a Franchise game.

Game update: Using the 10/5/5/5 setup (i finally dropped back down to HOF pitching), finally got a win vs. ATL. 7-3. ATL had 3 runs, 12 hits, 3 walks. My pitching staff is not good so it was a real struggle to keep their offense down. First win I've had using this slider change. I'm liking how the game feels using this setup. I am forced to pitch outside of the zone a lot more.

Any changes to cpu hitting. So I was using 10/5/5/5/4 and like you had said seemed like lot of doubles and HR. Went down to 10/4/5/5/4 and yes more singles but didn’t seem as powerful of an offense.
curious if you have tried 10/4/5/5/5/5 and how that works as going.

I'm also finding 10/4/5/5/5 to be working the best. Still giving up bombs. It's doesn't necessarily "look" the greatest, but the results have varied for me in my series against the Red Sox. I don't see a reason to change yet

Yeah I think power at 4 helps control their offense enough without it getting too weak.

Had this really weird inning where they scored 3 runs on 3 hits and I only had an 11 pitch inning.

I also dropped to 4 power. 5 was a touch too high.

It's pretty satisfying tbh when my pitcher misses over the plate and guys like devers or bregman make me pay. I also gave up a wall scraping hr to the 8 hole hitter that had 47 power. However I still get plenty of weak grounders and popups. Very nice variety.

So is everyone pretty much at 10/4/5/5/5 or 10/4/5/5/4? I have been trying both. I am having a tough time telling if I need to stay at the 10/4/5/5/5 or not. I just played the Yankees and they crushed the ball on me 8 runs 15 hits and 3 HR.
i was only able to get 3 strikeout

I have 5 solid hits for now. If I needed to nerf the CPU, I would lower contact to 9 first here imo. I don't have enough sample myself yet to stay at 10 or lower to 9.

I'm at 10 contact and 5's for everything else still. Trying to keep playing with that setting to get a bigger sample size .

So I did something yesterday that I couldn’t believe that I did. I turned the pitch speeds down to four. In 2020 I had them at eight. I remember Armor having them at nine and JoshC having them at eight. It seems like everyone has turned them down the last few years. You rarely see guys have them posted above six. What’s wrong with me turning them down to four? Nothing lol. There is something wrong with me struggling to hit or find anything remotely close to enjoyment in this game the last two years after not being able to put it down for 18 years. I’ve played five games with them at four and it’s been a blast. I still lost two games but it feels like it used to again.

I'll add one thing I'm pretty adamant about. Ive tried fielder reaction at 5 with these and immediately reverted back to 6 and 3 fielder Run speed. I understand most don't play like this but I'm tired of guys not reacting to line drives until the ball is passed them. It's such a gimmick for rtts imo
