4 power for CPU. My goodness 5 power is too much lol. The contact at 10 and solid hits at 5 supply all the power.

With contact at 10, I just put power back at 5 for 2 games. The first game I got hammered, but the 2nd game was a 9-7 win. Reminder that my pitching staff is pretty bad, but man what a great game it was. I gave up a handful of walks which is good in my opinion, because for some hitters I was seriously nibbling the corners of the strike zone for fear of giving up a bomb. I'm not sure where I'll settle in yet but I'll keep going for a bit.

It's a hard one ... as soon as you move the CPU down in any hitting category their output really suffers. I wish there was a way to get more hits & smallball and less homeruns/ longball from them without adjusting.

but you are right, the games are exciting and fun to play with CPU all on default power and solid hits etc ... solid hits in particular - i've been tinkering with that and cannot have it less than 5 for the CPU. their offense just stalls without it.

hmm typing this and thinking out loud ... i wonder if contact at default and raising only solid hits would work - since solid hits also directly relates to batting average?

Don't put power at 5. Just don't with 10 contact and 5 solid. You are fishing at that point. It's not necessary. Who are you playing, jcar?

Like I said, don't touch power or solid. If it's too hard then just click down contact 1 or 2 points. I'm not, but I understand if pitching with CPU suggestions and and camera angle. The way it is now is a fabulous unsteady feeling. It's gonna break. I can feel it. For now... fantastic

Arizona. Decent hitting team. I was able to get some huge outs with men on base a few times and it was really stressful and pretty fun .

I had it at 5 for a while, and it really was close to being what I wanted, but then I dropped to 4. I'm a glutton for punishment. I really want pitching to be a challenge, maybe not every game.....lol

Did this picture show up? Tonight's game using power at 5, at Arizona.

I like the challenge that power at 5 seems. Those are some crazy games…but would they be that way too many games?

Would there be a median between power at 4 and 5? Like if you do power at 4, what about solid hits at 6? Would that give it an extra boost?

I even think 9/5/5/5/5 could be close too.

It really is very close. I'll play another one today with the same settings and see what happens.

Anyone else having high era? I'm either getting games where the CPU hits around 3 hrs a game or alot of line drives mixed with bloop hits.

I like how deadly the CPU hitting is but sucks having Framber with a 5+ era and getting hit around always.

I noticed my SPs are the main ones getting hit around I can barely keep them in by the 4th before the CPU starts hitting everything including balls way out the zone.

It is crazy. I have gave up on errors in this game cause they don’t happen enough to make it realistic. But I played two games of the Royals series and they have had 8 errors in 2 games. Bobby Witt had 4 errors in the first game and 2 the 2nd game. All throwing errors.

just crazy that I’m lucky to see an error every 3 games and they get 8 in 2 games.

Looked in Witt’s stats and he had 16 errors in 83 games. His fielding rating is 72 and accuracy is 74. Not horribly low.

I promise I'm not trying to convince people to use 10/5 .....😁

Just showing my results. I'm pretty happy with this, considering Anderson is a 72 overall rated SP. Ynoa is a 72 rated RP. This was a game in SD.

I played 3 games with 10/5/4/5/5 and it seems good. Like the timing at 4 kind of balances it out. Played 3 games and gave up 4 runs on 11 hits, 5 runs on 10 hits and 1 run on 4 hits.

Just wondering if anybody has any thoughts on using quick counts? I use it to have quicker games but do you think it affects anything related to the sliders? I’ve had some competitive games. I’ve been no-hit recently, definitely had some blowouts.

The CPU strikes out too much on quick counts. We tried that. You start getting about 13-15 K per game with about 10 hits a game.
