Re: High Heat 2004 Anything & Everything Thread
Thanks, bsb!
As much of a High Heater as I am, I really am getting very into the Show. It is hard to admit, but I do think HH may have been topped in my opinion. Of course, I reserve the right to change my mind a few hundred times over the season!!
Still going with my dual season. Time has been hard to come by, but I have gotten in a few more games of HH. I got swept by Florida in my opening series. My hitting is terrible. Pelfrey and Maine were ok, but they would have had to pitch shutouts to win. Then we went to Montreal for three. I got shut out in the opener as Oliver was decent. My pen has been great, but I just can't hit to save my life. This afternoon, we finally got off the schneid. Beltran hit a home run (his first hit of the year) and we led 3-0. Livan Hernandez gave it right back in the bottom of the inning. Oh no!!! I must have forgotten to turn off the "comeback code"!!! (Yes, I do read alot of the posts in the SCEA threads!) In the 7th, we manufactured a run and in the 8th, Reyes hit a solo shot and Putz and K-Rod did their stuff and we got our first win. Tonight, I'm going to try to get another game in of HH and close out the series in Montreal. I haven't had any more games in my 29 game Show season, but I've played around a bit and like I said, I'm VERY impressed. Will probably fire up my second season game sometime this week.

Well, I have been playing The Show for almost 2 months now and even though its not a bad game...I think I'm gonna go back to HH again. For some reason I just think HH is much funner to play. Maybe if they would just overhaul the fielding I would like The Show better, and I still think players are too much a like in that game. Some times its hard to tell one player from the next IMO. Thats one thing I love about HH...ratings matter big time in just about every aspect of the game. Especially if you adjust the simulation sliders.Comment

XBOX please! It's been done before I had it in 2007 and 2006. I wish they'd convert the all time teams onto xbox to make the game timeless. In other words, no stressing about roster updates.Comment

I don't think your going to have any luck. Making rosters for the XBOX is extremely hard, and for those who know to do so, there really isn't a big enough audience for them to do it. Sorry guys.Comment

Re: High Heat 2004 Anything & Everything Thread
Just because I was bored I decided to read a Gamespy interview with Curt Schilling about HH 2004. And hear was a couple of questions about MVP...
GameSpy: Your teammate, Randy Johnson, is on the cover of EA's baseball game. Do you guys ever talk trash about each other's games?Curt Schilling: You know, I would talk trash with Randy if there were comparisons, but he has an arcade baseball game. You know, he's a rookie in the market and that's fine for him. My game is aimed to please people that actually know what the game of baseball is supposed to be like.GameSpy: You at least gotta make fun of him for not having the box to himself like you do, right? [Editor's Note: Johnson shares the box of MVP Baseball with Oakland's Miguel Tejada.] Curt Schilling: Yeah, and that's fine. That's exactly the thing though. They had to attract customers with two guys on the box, and High Heat attracts customers because it's a great
....lol, I thought that was funny. I actually love MVP.Comment
