Re: High Heat 2004 Anything & Everything Thread

I decided to pick this up for a couple buck for the PC...used to love it on the P2s/Xbox a few years back. I was looking for videos and came across this. It's about as anti "sim" as it gets...lol...but it's just some kiddo. The dad in me got a kick out of it though:

SoxFan,

Per your PM. I had posted the trick to getting HH to run on Vista in a separate thread and came here to find it and it's g-o-n-e. I know it was an umpire file (absurd as that sounds by a guy called beanball, or something like that). I'll have to go through all my files now and try to track it down for you now, dang.

It WILL run on Vista with that file.

Found the thread with the workaround for HH2k4 and VISTA. Here it is. I posted the fix on SENDSPACE.

Almost done with an updated roster for HH2k4. Should be just a couple days if anyone is interested.

PC? If so, how is it different from Pudge's?

Re: High Heat 2004 Anything & Everything Thread

I have just taken Pudge's roster and done all the trades. The roster is HIS and I take no credit except for moving players around. This is for the PC. I will be adding a few missing players, but other than that, all credit, including the name of the roster file is Pudge's.

I also have my own sound file (with the Nats stuff in it and other tweaks) and many, many mods, including a nifty HI RES stadium extractor that puts those stadiums into your game. I had saved all these files to disk and am still going through them.

I downloade Pudge's great photo set that came with his 2009 roster also. With all the mods added and playing on an LCD Hi Res monitor, game looks and plays really, really well.

Should have it wrapped up tomorrow.

Here's the HH2k4 SOUND folder. Just download and replace what came with the game (backup your default though by renaming it)

Here's the HH stadium HI RES extractor.

If you need mods (hi res skies), etc., etc., just let me know and I'll look thru my disks for you. Stuff is hard to find now.

Roster moves just about done. I'm creating a few missing players. Perhaps some time tomorrow.

Okay, here's what I've done so far. Trades should be through yesterday. It's not quite done as I need to add a few players.

http://www.sendspace.com/file/o98yaq

AAA/AA/A were not updated, just the major league. That would have taken way too long.

Inlcuded is a TUNE file that has two good camera angles from behind pitcher and behind catcer (use F2 on the keyboard to scroll through the camera angles).

I'll post the finally one in a few days (doing some painting around the house).

Thanks for doing this Jim. When spring training rolls around, I may download all of this. After a less than satisfying experience with MLB 2k9, I'm probably returning to HH2004 for my baseball gaming this year. It will be nice to have updated rosters during spring training as it usually takes Pudge until the season starts to get his out.
It's too bad nobody was able to make any new stadium mods for HH2004.

$40, on the PC? Geez, a bit much, but you might want to buy it as it's sort of a classic. I've got two copies of the PC version, plus one XBOX.

boomhauer, I"m still updating the roster a bit and hope to post another update soon.

I've been playing it and it's fun. A trip down memory lane for me as it was the best game for me for two years back then. If you have a PC that will handle all the hi-def mods, the game looks really good. I've got a bunch of extra files saved if there are any request I can look through my CDs for you.

Okay, here's Pudge's beginning of the 2009 season roster updated through 12/23/09
(the majors). I did many minor league moves too, but the minors are NOT perfect as it would just be too much work with The Show around the corner, so.....
