    Re: Any questions?

    1. are there any animations for defensive players sliding feet first?

    2. are there infield bobbles by defensive players on sharply hit balls into the ground?

    3. are there different slide animations depending on when the user reacts to the play, like a later press of the slide button initiates a slide animation which carries the baserunner over the bag?

    4. will there ever be a "tag" button where the user has to initiate the tag on the base runner?

    5. can you tell VC to make a 6 on 6 indoor volleyball game please, much like Dig and Spike Volleyball on SNES

      Re: Any questions?

That IGN preview is interesting to me because I recall a time not all that long ago when people actually dismissed almost entirely everything written on IGN but now apparently their opinions are the ultimate be_all_end_all. For what it's worth I thoroughly enjoyed this game last year and will be buying again this time around. There are so many nice things from top to bottom that this game has to offer and I think people are caught up a little in the hype of other games.

            Re: Any questions?

            few quesitons

            1. Are the actual managers this year or are they all fake.

            2. Does the right-analog stick do anything like dive

            3. is there a sliding button

            4. can you explain the hitting system a bit

            5. is is true that in order to get a lot better you guys will nee a engine overhaul (like to fix minors, batting animations and stuff like that )

thanks, if i get any more questions i will ask later
Just wait till Arsenal moves into Emirates Stadium.

                  Fake, no, no, yes, no.

The hitting system is a somewhat like MVP's in that you want to aim at the ball where it is pitched in the strike zone. The difference is that you have to aim correctly AND time the pitch correctly in order to make contact--aiming up means you're swinging the bat high, not that you're trying to hit a fly ball. The better your aim, the better contact you will make. You can choose between that system, last year's system (cursor) and timing-only (aims for you). You can also choose whether to have two buttons for swinging (power and contact) or just one.

                        1. I believe so...I remember outfielders doing this last year.

                        2. They'll make errors, if that's what you mean, but once they catch it, they won't drop it or bobble it when taking it out of their glove.

                        3. There are different types of slides, but they are chosen automatically based on the situation and aren't user-controllable.

                        4. Probably not. It's one of those things, which, while some people would enjoy it, would make the game a lot more difficult for someone who wasn't familiar with the controls or who wasn't particularly adept with the gamepad. Making it automatic when you get close enough to tag seems to work well enough that I can't see us changing it anytime soon.

                        5. VC tells us what to do, not the other way around

                                few quesitons

                                1. Are the actual managers this year or are they all fake.

                                2. Does the right-analog stick do anything like dive

                                3. is there a sliding button

                                4. can you explain the hitting system a bit

                                5. is is true that in order to get a lot better you guys will nee a engine overhaul (like to fix minors, batting animations and stuff like that )

thanks, if i get any more questions i will ask later

                                Fake, no, no, yes, no.

The hitting system is a somewhat like MVP's in that you want to aim at the ball where it is pitched in the strike zone. The difference is that you have to aim correctly AND time the pitch correctly in order to make contact--aiming up means you're swinging the bat high, not that you're trying to hit a fly ball. The better your aim, the better contact you will make. You can choose between that system, last year's system (cursor) and timing-only (aims for you). You can also choose whether to have two buttons for swinging (power and contact) or just one.

so if the pitch is up and away i'd have to hold up and away on the stick to hit the ball, not just up, if so the thats exactly like HH, correct?
