You're conveniently forgetting one thing....the Phils DEFINITELY have pitching issues of their own. While they probably have the BEST offense in the NL, their pitching is NOT over the top...check it yourself

I hate the Twins.

Mets still need to work on their pitching rotation, though. One pitcher isn't gonna keep the Phils from eating up the rest of those old dudes.

What EXACTLY do you mean about 'questionable character' as it relates to Livan Hernandez?

I didn't realize Livan was still out there; I kind of forgot that he existed. He does seem like a Minaya type guy (latin, retread, questionable character).

Personally, I've seen ENOUGH of Pelfrey. As someone who's watched virtually ALL of his starts, I'll say this: For someone who has the body type and the pitches (he features a 95+ sinker), this guy has been nothing but a disappointment. He pitches behind too often and...and this is a big one...he's like Eli Manning. He ALWAYS looks scared and has that deer-in-the-headlights look. If I was the Mets and I could have, I would have send Pelfrey and kept Humber. I've already seen what Pelfrey can do...and I'm not impressed. Humber really hasn't had consistent chance to show his stuff

I dont see how you keep Pelfry out of the rotation this year. Some argue he is better than Maine. I think El Duqe goes to the 'pen and becomes a spot starter.

reports had it that the Twins wanted Pelfrey, but what turned them off was his contract that he was to make this year.. apparently, he was to make $1 mil this year, no matter if he was in the bigs or minors

I completely agree with you.

Many Mets fans want to lynch the guy... but I actually feel a bit bad for him. I think he's unhappy in the pen and wants to be a starter. He has the potential do it too...
