      Suspensions announced!

      50 games:
      Nelson Cruz(Rangers)
      Johnny Peralta(Tigers)
      Antonio Bastardo(Phillies)
      Jordany Valdespin(Mets)
      Everth Cabrera(Padres)
      Francisco Cervelli(Yankees)
      Jesus Montero(Mariners)
      Cesar Puello(Mets)
      Fautino De Los Santos(Padres)
      Fernando Martinez(Yankees)
      Sergio Escalona(Astros)
      Jordan Norberto(Free agent,last on the A's)

MLB needs to investigate New York. Along with ARod, that's 5 players in this single suspension that played for a New York team.

^ SportsCenter says "12 players agree to 50 game suspensions" on its left frame, so they're probably all the same amount.
        Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60

Good - Not a single Red Sox player on the list.

Bad - Nelson Cruz & Johnny Peralta are on my money league fantasy 1st place fantasy team. How dare they accept suspensions now without consulting with me first!

The clinic being located in Miami probably plays a part in a large Hispanic clientele.

Times a player has been suspended for drug policy:
                Angels-2
                A's-2
                Astros-2
                Blue Jays-2
                Braves-2
                Brewers-2
                DBacks-1
                Dodgers-3
                Giants-7
                Indians-3
                Mariners-8
                Marlins-3
                Mets-7
                Nats-3
                Orioles-2
                Padres-5

                Rockies-7
                Royals-3
                Tigers-3
                Twins-1
                White Sox-1
                Yankees-6

New York combined has had 13 suspensions! Phillies/Mariners lead the way with 8 suspensions! Red Sox,Cubs,Cardinals are only teams who never had anyone suspended. Should MLB start looking into this? Some teams having like 1-3 is OK because in MLB today, you're bound to have someone doing this. But cities with like 5-8 suspensions...is this just a coincidence or might something fishy be going on?

Tough to talk about MLB looking into it when MLB were the ones to allow it in the first place. They wanna get rid of it start at the top, gut out the execs who allowed this behavior in the first place.

If it helps, they haven't come out publicly and said they won't appeal just yet. In fact, Cruz said he didn't know whether he would or not (with that said, hit up your waiver wire asap).

It also has to be considered that a lot of places they came from have easy access to many things considered illegal here, and are no problem using there either. There are obvious things that players just try to get over with and then there are other things I think players just aren't being smart about checking ingredients or running the substance through the proper channels before using. I think this contributes to a lot of latinos getting nailed... I think some that say they didn't know really didn't know.

Lets just stop the witch hunt, not make it bigger. Without digging deeper I could say the Yankees have thrown a ton of money at different players bc of their stats before being on the team, in which case they may have more bc guys put together a resume for them to go after them by their use. If that were the case, investigating the team would lead to nothing... besides more assumptions and speculation.

As was mentioned by ratedmoney, if we're going to dig deeper lets hold the league accountable for turning a blind eye which is what forced Congress to get involved in the first place.

Well there goes the Rangers' drive to the postseason. I'm sure they're scrambling for a bat right now.

As for A-Rod fighting his suspension on the one hand I can see why he's doing it because he's being the whipping boy in this whole process but on the other hand the guy is so unliked that it serves him right in a lot of ways. If that suspension of 200+ games goes through without a hitch you can kiss the rest of his career good bye.

Take a hike A-Rod! MLB officially suspends through 2014 season. 211 games.

                        Can play through appeal.

I think Arod will have a successful appeal process. I can't see how the 211 amount holds up.

The only thing I have heard was that he was trying to disrupt the MLB investigations. Who really knows though.

I'm just glad A-Rod is playing tonight haha.

Bud Selig is a hypocrite. If you had all this evidence on A-Rod & you really wanted to rid the game of PED, you would have evoked the "detriment to the game" clause in the CBA, and banned him for life.

Whatta joke. I hope A-Rod wins his appeal just for the sake of seeing Selig's dufuss mug after.

I don't really blame Selig for not banning him for life. They are already going to have a tough enough time suspending him for over a season.
