If it happens that way, the simplest thing to do would be to keep them in the AL East. the Toronto/Montreal rivalry would be quite natural.

And here is another commissioner who can't understand that the game isn't the problem, it's the *******es playing the game that are the problem.

Instead of having coaches stop turning their left handed hitters into one trick ponies, we have the handcuff the defense because guys who are either too stubborn, or not well rounded enough with the lumber to counter them. It isn't like shifts leave literally 1/3 of the field undefended.

      The game isn't ****ing broken.

I really wish Bell would sell their stake in the Leafs to Rogers, take the money, and lead the Charge to get baseball back to Montreal. I wonder how the broadcasting would work. Like if TSN could compete directly with RSN on a night to night basis nationally. Would be awesome, and an absolute relief for summer content black hole on TSN (with all its new expanded network options and other than the CFL)!

Obviously the stadium issue is huge, but a backer like Bell is as good a prospect as there is for getting something relatively downtown.

Doesn't it have to get voted on tho? Hopefully he'll do away with the DH!

I agree with this, but since Montreal was once in the NL I posed the question.

You're not the first person to suggest this and honestly, If I were in charge of Bell TV I would do this ASAP after all, Rogers basically went through the backdoor to steal the National NHL rights away from them. Owning an MLB team and competing night after night against Rogers on TV would be one way to add content AND stick it to Rogers especially if the Montreal team is more successful than the Jays.

The Canadian dollar is expected to dip below 75 cents this year. Pro sports franchises aren't heading north of the 49th anytime soon, fellas.

We'll just have to hope for another mideast conflict.

Sheesh, I hate how the Canadian dollar is basically a petrol dollar now.

If anything, the NL would adopt it.

He's already spoke about the DH too. Basically said it's not changing anytime soon. He won't remove it and the current crop of NL ownership isn't gonna allow it.
