So it was the Dodgers that offered up the "kings ransom" for Chris Sale. They also made an offer for Jose Quintana. Shortly after that Rick Hahn came out and said they have to be open to all possibilities. Even though the deal didn't go through I think both teams will continue talking. Urias wasn't in either deal in case anyone was wondering.

Hmmm. Have to wonder what was all available. Shocked one of them did not come to the Dodgers already with the Dodgers farm.

Yep they had scouts tracking both of their starts last night. I wouldn't want CC pitching in Rogers Centre for the majority of the rest of his starts but he's been a hired gun before as there's a buyout option at the end of the year. I'd much rather the Jays go after Cashner though looking at what the Padres are seemingly asking for their players it might be easier to get CC.

The Sale trade was most likely something revolving around Grant Holmes and Jose De Leon. And I still think Sale can get moved if Urias replaces one of those pitchers.

I know that system is deep but if you are target someone like Sale of Fernandez, I feel Urias has to be in that deal. You aren't getting a young controlled Cy Young candidate without giving up a young MLB ready player. Someone like Archer you can get away with giving up solely prospects like De Leon or Holmes.

Tex, I understand. I'm not getting A-Rod. He's like 6 HRs away from 700, they can and would market the living hell out of that. Yea they gotta pay him some extra money but I think the marketing opportunities would bring at least that money back that they have to pay A-Rod.
