And second of all when were the Mets winning or losing? They seem to be playing pretty much the same all year. They put up a winning streak against the Pirates and Nats a while back and I beleive we got into it during that winning streak.

Guys, this is a NEW YORK METS discussion thread. That means you discuss the good, the bad and the ugly. Personally going after each other WILL NOT be tolerated. This thread seems to not understand that.

I will reopen this thread but it is on a short leash. While yes, tonight was a tough loss, that does not give you the right to get after each other. That includes bringing up past issues that have already been dealt with.

If someone disagrees with you or your posts, you have every right to tell them so within the confines of the TOS. Name calling and threats will NOT be tolerated.

Just thought I'd check this thread for some solace...no surprise I would stumble on to some drama after what had to be THE ABSOLUTE WORST LOSS I EVER WITNESSED BY THIS TEAM IN YEARS!!!! I mean...man, this was right up there with Buckner as one the worst plays in professional sports. I really don't know how these athletes do it. After that performance, after all the grinding and fighting back they did, Wright's clutch go-ahead run scoring hit,Frankie getting A-Rod to pop up with 2 outs with runners on, only for that INEXCUSABLE DROP... personally I have to question my ability to support this team at these times because I swear, getting beat is one thing, but beating yourselves, time and time again...there has to be some sort of reward for this punishment...there just has to be.

I know how Mets fans feel after watching that...last year Kelly Johnson dropped an even more routine pop out with 2-outs in the 9th against the Phils that cost us the game. I would say though, while it's an insane way to lose the game, it's not like the Mets suck or their season is over. The late Buck O'Neill once said this game will humble you like no other, and then bring you right back up. It wouldn't surprise me to see Castillo get a game winning hit today to beat the Yanks...just the way it works.

This cat Nieve is looking really good. I like what I'm seeing; some mid 90s heat, some nice breaking stuff.

Might want to stay away from the FAN tonight... all the idiots are out. Castillo has helped us a ton this year with Reyes out... but this is all that matters right now.

I made that mistake when I went to bed. I guess I can't really call it a mistake since I knew going in that it was gonna be a loony bin all night, and Somers wasn't helping the matter. He should have provided liquor to help drown their sorrows, lol. I'm over it now, but that was probably THE toughest loss I've ever witnessed.

But we're doing pretty well right now, through 6 innings. And with Johan going tomorrow, I'm happy, even though he's been hit hard his last few starts.

I wondered if all the pro Manuel/anti-Randolph guys would come up. This is the perfect opp!

Santana has to be hurt, he couldn't even hit 90 yesterday. Something is obviously very wrong. I've seen this guy pitch in person up close and his baseball not only jumps on you, it has a crazy amount of movement. His FB was FLAT yesterday.

This is the second series in a row we lost because of bad play. We really need more consistency from this team. The upside is when they are solid, even with Delgado and Reyes out, they are still one of the better teams in the league. Plus, David is starting to go the other way!

We just need more consistency. If we get that, we'll be fine. But damn man, injuries hurt us again this year...
