Me personally...nah, I'm not feeling bad for the Pirates one iota. Reason being, is in the last few seasons, no matter who played up/down to whom, the Bucs have given the Mets...particularly Duke and Maholm...all kinds of fits.

Yeah, it's early, but when you keep the faith, good things happen.
Sometimes when ya brag about what your team has, is or what you expect, the karma goes totally in an opposite direction...especially when you look upon things with rose colored glasses...

Remember...ONE game and ONE day at a time...
after all, there are about 133 games left....

Let's GO Mets!!!

7 in a row.... Another nice outing by Livan, too. I think homer numbers are gonna be down across the board; Beltran and Delgado both hit bombs that would have gone out if it weren't for the high walls. But on the flip side, pitching in this park half the season, with the start he's already off to, Johan could be looking at some big numbers this year.

and the FURTHER the Phillies are in the Mets' rearview mirror (now 1.5 games behind), the BETTER I love it!

Key points to the Mets winning? Not only the starting pitching... but the offense is coming alive and coming up clutch. No way we were going to be that bad with RISP all year.

well....let's keep it real, we ALL care where we are...anyone that says that is being a little disingenuous, dontcha think?...

and as I SAID the other day, we know it's early...but it's a lot better feeling being up 1.5 games (with a chance to be up by 2 later on), than to be 4.5 games out floundering in 4th place.....

Tough loss last night.

What really gets me are the decisions that were made. Santana out with a man on first and 1 out? Leaving Feliciano in to a right hander after bringing him in specifically to face Mccann?

Was I the only one annoyed by the coaching decisions yesterday?

BTW... Citi field is AMAZING... wow.

Church's throw was nice. But still, how many unearned runs they they give up in this series?
