Yeah I guess that wouldn't surprise me. I know Sappelt struggled at the plate in Spring Training (not that Tony lit it up), but I could see them bringing him up first and seeing what he can do.

I'm actually really excited about the talent I'll get to watch here in Iowa, well until they get called up. Wood, campana, wells, rizzo. Should be fun.

Man, was that whole exhibition by Bill Murray really necessary? Now time for baseball. Go Cubs

                  hah Bill! I loved it.

I like the aggressive attempt by Soriano there. I know it has been discussed, but I hope the aggressive base play is really showcased throughout the entire year. And there is Byrd with the RBI!

                  Cubs!

Demp pulled for Wood. 10 K's. Not bad, Demp. Not bad.

Wood left me disappointed today, can't believe how many guys he walked and cost the game.

I understand they want him to be fresh for the season, but only having him throw 5 innings in Spring Training was a mistake.

Marmol's slider wasn't as sharp as usual today either. Disappointing start to the season, but I think they'll bounce back strong with Garza on Saturday.

Thing is, it's very tough to throw off speed pitches in Zona. Sometimes guys can make unnecessary adjustments because of that. Good thing is, his fastball had a little behind it with movement and he didn't throw any of those, holy **** pitches. I think Wood and Marmol will be fine. Team looked awesome today. Tough loss to swallow though.

Ugh, Wood and Marmol blow another one.

                                Garza's line: 6 IP, 5 hits, 2 ER, 1 BB, 5 Ks

                                Wood and Marmol combined: 2/3 IP, 5 hits, 5 ER, 2 BB, 1 K
