Is anyone else concerned with Rizzo playing for Italy? I hate it when players go play in the WBC. I don't know what it is, but when players return from the WBC, it takes them a while to get going in the regular season.

Yeah I am exited about the plans myself, and it is about time. Sucks it is going to take almost 5 years, but better than playing home games away from Wrigley.

Long overdue, and like what they have drawn up so far.

I think as long as they keep it tasteful and excessive ad free I'll be just fine with it.

The concept for the Budweiser patio looks really sweet and the walking areas behind the seats look really nice too.

Hope they stick to what they've illustrated here, because if so that would be a home run (pun intended)

Only complaint, is it's going to cost me even more to get into Wrigley than it already does

The Budweiser patio does look pretty cool. Hopefully they renovate the bathrooms too. As much as I hate the ads, if there is some effort to make them look professional I'll let them slide. If they are tacky like the Toyota sign I'm going to start sounding off.

Matt Garza: "Can't wait to get healthy and prove my worth!"

                    gets hurt.

Chicago Cubs pitcher Matt Garza will undergo an MRI to determine the extent of a lat injury he suffered to the left side of his body.

Thankfully it's just a mild lat strain, and nothing major like an injury to his throwing arm. He's going to rest for a week, then continue his rehab from there.

He'll be fine. Thankfully we have more depth this year.

I'm actually excited for this year.

I know everyone's a little upset to see Campana go, but we got some very young talented players in return. This year well either see improvement, closing in on a 81-81 year, or a huge struggle. Either way, Sveum will have added pressure each year. I think next year is when we have our chance at a push for the postseason.

I'm not upset to see Campana go either, because ultimately it was a good baseball decision. Campana was a very likable person, and I wish him the best in Arizona. He really just didn't have a place on this team. Hopefully he can get some playing time for the Diamondbacks, although I doubt it because their OF is crowded too.

Anyways, for my early prediction for this year:

                              72-90

I think we can improve upon our 61-101 mark from last year, but I don't feel like we're at the .500 mark just yet. New pitchers like Feldman, Baker and Villanueva will have to step up in a big way for me to be confident that we can get to 81-81 or better. As long as we don't lose 100+ games again, I'll be content. Not happy, but hopeful because I know we're on the rise.

I'm still very excited for this upcoming season, just like I am every year. I think we're doing the right things to becoming a better ball club.

Something tells me this team goes under the radar and makes the push for a wild card spot.

Not saying they get it, but a full season of Rizzo. Castro a full year of real lineup protection. A much improved rotation and bullpen, I wouldn't be surprised.

I also wouldn't be surprised if this team turned around and lost 85-90 games. Hopefully we can maintain our health, hang around and make a late season push for a playoff spot.
