Yeah I've had to work 9 to 7 since I got here on Friday (4 to 8 that night), but we were able to take in some of the Reds stuff and it's been truly a dream come true for a guy who didn't know if he'd ever see his Reds in person. Some pictures:

I wish this was my Man Cave!

Celebrating with the Big Red Machine!!

One of my favorites, "The Mayor" Sean Casey. We had a moment.

Couldn't get on to the field so this was the best we could do lol

This pizza joint/bar across from our hotel had a bunch of signed balls from Reds past and present. Pretty sure this is Brandon Phillips judging by the #4. I'm pretty drunk at this point LOL

What an incredible time! Cincy, your city is beautiful. And the pride in your sports teams rivals that of my "hometown" Philadelphia. Its football season so there's been plenty of Bengals gear, but I've seen more Reds stuff and they had a bad year and it's the offseason. True fans. A real baseball town. Made me so proud. Thanks for having us!
You need to go to Opening Day, nothing better than Opening Day in Cincinnatti. I made the trip regualry until my health got bad this past yr and hurt us financially to where we werent able to go. Im hoping to get back next yr, but not sure even if we have the money that I can sit for a whole game because of the pain Im in. Alcohol use to make it possible, but that dont work no more, lol.

Hope you got a chance to go to the Morelein house, greta food and the best beer around. I love Kentucky Bourbon barrel beer from there, and since I wasnt able to get their for Opening day this past yr my wife had Kentucky Bourbon Barrel ship to us for me as a surprise cause she knew I was depressed about not getting to go this yr.

Glad you enjoyed your time in Cincy, best place on earth outside of my farm for me. We have considered moving their at some point so I would be closer, my wife is a Cubs fan and after her 1st Opening Day she wanted to move to Cincinnati and now she wears Reds Gear more than the North Side Losers gear she has

Cozart, Phillips, and Hamilton were named finalists for the Gold Glove Award at their respective positions.

Looking at the defensive metrics, it would be a travashamockery if Cozart and Hamilton don't get some Gold Gloves this year. As for BP, while still good, my pick would be Colorado's DJ LeMahieu.

If Cozart dont win the GG it will be because he is such a poor offensive player. Even though its suppose to be on defense alone I do think they take into account a players offense to a extent. Especially if its a tight race between players, they will take the guy with better offensive numbers. There is some very good ss defensively so it could hurt Cozart because of being one fo the worst hitters in baseball, probably the worst hitter, lol. I do hope he wins the GG at ss.

Billy does have a good shot to win it, but he does have some stiff competition at CF.

I dont think there is a better defensive 2nd baseman in the NL than BP even at his age and battling injuries his D is still top notch, so I really hope he gets another GG.

Frazier deserves to be in the running at 3rd base to for a GG imo, Arenado is pretty much alock an rightfully so, but Frazier D is top notch.

Joe Maddon is now available. I know it's only been 1 year with Price but should the Reds go after him? I like Price but want Maddon.

Maddon would be an upgrade over basically every manager in baseball. No way in hell he ends up here, especially when we still have a dinosaur for a GM.

What worries me is that he ends up with the Cubbies.

Hopefully he ends up with the Dodgers.

The pipe dream is he manages us.

Part of me wants the Reds to hire Maddon not only for the team's sake but to prevent the Cubs, or even the Cards, from hiring him. I agree the Reds getting him is a pipe dream though.

Yeah you have. Ad nauseam. I'm fine with Price and seeing what he'll do in year two with a hopefully healthy roster but I think if the Reds could somehow upgrade to Maddon, everybody on this board would be in favor of it. Since that's unlikely to happen, here's to hoping 2015 will be better for Price and the Reds.

Kevin Towers is widely expected to be hired as a special assistant to Walt Jocketty.

That's just what the Reds need....more dinosaurs in the front office. Kevin Towers filled the Diamondbacks clubhouse with players who were gritty and played the game the "right way".

Worked wonderfully for ya, didn't it?

A few roster moves today from the Reds...

                          - Picked up Cueto's $10 million option for next season.
                          - Paid Hannahan's $2 million buyout to send him home.
                          - Sent Soto outright to Louisville, taking him off the 40-man roster.

No word yet if they'll pay $4.5 million to send Luddy packing as well.

Just saw on Rotoworld that they are. Had they guy stayed healthy, he might have put up some decent numbers. Not worth what he was getting paid but still.

What's funny is in my OOTP game I'm playing with the 2014 Reds, I got an e-mail from Ludwick saying he was unhappy with his playing time. Well he wasn't hitting worth a crap so I benched him. After the e-mail, I packaged him in a deal with Latos for Justin Upton. Haha

Seen where the North Side Losers are close to signing Maddon as manager. I really htought he would be in LA.

Im sure all the idiot Losers fans are jumping up and down, but they are still the Cubs wont matter who the manager is,lol. My wife came in an said hey Cubs are about to sign Maddon as manager, and thats what I told her, lol. IM sure her Dumb *** Dad will be jumping up and down with joy thinking they will win it all

Maddon is a manager that pretty much lets player be themselvs and isnt much for discipline, which could be a very bad thing for a young team. I remeber wtahcing Javoer Baiez more than once not hardly leave the batters box after grounding out.

IMO kind of a crappy way to do business by the Cubs, Renterai did nothing to deserve to lose his job, and I though he did well considering what he had to work with.

I know they are banking on big name FA going there and having Maddon could help that, but still most big time players dont want to be a Cub, and Cubs have always had to overpay 2n tier players to play for them , so should be interesting to see what happens this winter.

I know if the Reds dont get their heads out of their rears they will find themselves in the cellar soon, cause the NLC isnt getting any eaiser.

Maddon will have the Cubs a division contender within 2 years. He's one of the best managers in baseball and the Cubs have one of the best farm systems out there. Baez was awful when he was up this year, but Addison Russell is a better SS prospect anyway, and Chicago will be able to sign good free agents.

Meanwhile the Reds keep their terrible GM and hire his terrible GM buddy to be his assistant GM. The teams are going in opposite directions and the Reds aren't trending upwards...
