I have never gotten a perfect with melo behind the 3pt arc on certain difficulties.

And there's a bunch of other players glitched like this. I prefer the old system. No matter how many game winning perfect releases I missed in 2k14. It fustrates me even more to constantly get the release right on the line all the time and miss open shots 2k rates as A- over and over. Once I drop the difficulty thought to all star it's money all day
Melo is glitched from 3pt land as you found out if you play on HOF or SS default game speed. If you play offline change his base to jump shot 22 and see the difference in gameplay as he can now get green perfect releases on HOF and SS with standing 3pt shots. No amount of practice will make it change with the current base they have assigned to him. I figured that out in the first week or so.

Naw what you need to do is practice with the Knicks and come back and post your results. You are adding nothing to this and if you used the Knicks or practiced with them even a handful of times you wouldn't have even posted anything about practice. You don't need to practice that long to find out that Melo 3pt shot is glitched on HOF and SS out of the box. He has one of the easiest releases in the game his animation to achieve a perfect release just doesn't exist on HOF and SS on standing 3pt shots but he can hit mid range greens on SS on default game speed.

Shooting whether related to the shot meter has issues (no green release) but you blaming it on user error or telling people to practice more doesn't get the issue resolved. There are dudes that played over 100's of games here stop assuming everyone is some newbie and have no idea how long to hold a shot stick or a button. Shot stick timing is not rocket science and never has been.

exactly, shots are glitched or broken is not a user error. its ruining the game for me. i have a lot of ball movement just to miss wide open shots cause their shot animations are messed up. so frustrating.

If you play offline you can change his shot base to jump shot 22 save the roster as something. Go to practice load the roster you just saved and see the difference. He lands slightly different but it still looks good in my opinion because his current shot isn't what he does all the time either. Practice with it and notice how you can shoot with him on SS and HOF no problem anywhere on the court.

I have a feeling people would have a totally different opinion of the shot meter if there were no glitched shots in the roster.

              Re: 2K16 Shot Meter

I didn't really know how to answer this one. When the meter works properly I really appreciate knowing where my shot is at after release. I like that I can see late releases will produce a certain type of shot and how late determines that shot. I like using it to get the feel down as well. I can work on just release and see on the meter if I'm where I need to be. But this is all, when it works.

When it doesn't work it's terrible. Input lag really kills the feature for me. I hate shooting in the Park with it. I usually play my release and I'm fine, but I'll glance at the meter and it's dead red but I nail my shot. Very inconsistent when playing online.

If you keep the meter I would be totally okay with it. But most important of all, allow us to turn it off online!!! I hate having the luxury of turning it off in MyCareer, but no options to do so in MyPark. I need consistency.

Pretty sure u can turn the meter off for park, but u gotta do it in the main menu options not in mycareer options.

So.... I have a little question for those who think that a perfect release shouldn't be a guaranteed bucket: what's your stance on missed perfect free throws?

Technically it is easier to shoot a ft than shoot a 3pt shot but I think the mechanic should be the same. You should be able to miss perfect releases but the chance of it happening would be less than shooting jumpers. The drop off from non perfects should be less on a ft. I think they will never make it like that because it was never like that in the past. So people will push against that.

To be honest when I playing I have missed perfect FT's before.

unfortunately i'm an online player so changing shot animations is not an option lol. thats why i like the park this year. i pick a shot animation thats not broken and the game is fun again.

Refine it, keep the option of disabling the meter and don't abandon reading the player's release point. Both ways need better tuning. So, my vote is to keep as is, but refine both systems.

Get rid of it. Go back to 2k11 system and formula.

Unnecessary in my opinion. If the shooting animations are calibrated that would be enough.
