Re: Post patch sliders and shooting %

Just played a game in PNO where I hit 4 straight threes in 4 consecutive possessions with Alec Burks, all green releases.

Greens are too frequent for my liking, at the moment. The Park and Pro Am are just three fests, rendering my Shot Creator a little useless.

Beluba said in another thread that the cpu doesn't use the shot meter. But yeah idk why green means it goes in every time. It should still be a pct imo. When I'm on the court and I get a perfect release its not going in every time. But I'm not in the N B A either lol

Ok. Thanks. When i saw the cpu holding their follow thru after every shot i was under the impression that was considered a great release. With that bit of info yoou gave me i will move on. Ha

Because people were complaining about that last year for 2k16

Much appreciated, this should help improve the realism felt while playing against CPU with avg to mediocre players.

I use real player %, and it's still ridiculous.

Players just don't seem to be playing to their ratings, the way they have in previous titles. Now, every player/team plays like Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors.

I won't hold my breath, but hopefully it's playable after the update.

I appreciate all the work you put in to make the game realistic.

which gets modified for factors such as difficulty, openness and badges after the initial roll or before?

All those things are factored in before the roll.

Relating to shooting, any plan to tweak star players aggressiveness in next roster update especially on HOF. I have the CPU offensive awareness set to 90, CPU attack the basket at 60 and my USER on ball defense to 45 to try and make CPU smart and aggressive but I feel star CPU players don't attack as much as they should.

I've played games where Harden only shot the ball 13 times (only had 4 free throw attempts because he didn't go to rim which is unheard of for harden), Bron only shot 14 attempts, Wade only shot 12 times. I feel like they should be stressing my defense more than they do and at least be in attack mode more often. I'm playing on 10 min quarters and last year CPU star players were putting up 18-25 shots a game which is realistic for stars like Harden

It would be ideal for me to almost feel vulnerable or at risk every time they isolate just like real NBA defenses feel when star players isolate or are in transition. Any way there could be some sort of mass tendency increases for certain players (attack basket increase for Bron, Harden, etc) in the next roster update ?

Since the patch it seems to me all the cpu does is attack. They take less than half the 3's they used to and aside from that it seems like everyone is on roller skates.

I'm seeing next to no pull ups and while they may have taken too many before, at least that could somewhat be addressed via roster edits (for people using the modes that can use edited rosters) which seems better than too little as a hard coded adjustment.

I didn't expect things to be so wonky after this patch. Hopefully something gets fixed fast. The percentages are laughably bad.

Im still pre-patch (XB1) and I love the variety of the CPU offensive game. Ive got post shot tendencies at 55, other than that all 50. Im seeing a lovely mix of rim drives, pull ups, 3s, post shots.

There is nothing in the patch notes that would suggest the CPU has changed its offensive tendencies.

It it possible this is a case of the user struggling to adapt to the faster passes?

Nope. The CPU plays almost entirely differently. Way less 3's, which is good, but they kinda overdid it. Again, less pull ups, but now I am seeing next to none. Pretty much just get a rebound and run for the basket.

I rather the CPU spam 3's all game than them to spam the paint. This is ridiculous. 90% of the points I give up if I can even say that is points in the paint. Seems like ISO is called or the CPU finds the open man every time. Freaking Westbrook is posting up like prime Shaq FFS. This needs to be resolved fast. No type of balance at all. Either all teams play like the Warriors with a million screens and various 3's or the CPU is drawn to the paint like flies on ****. Jeez.
