for some reason the defending/rebounding felt better than the defender/athletic on defense, i made both builds to try out yesterday. But the defender/atheltic had the better speed and was better inside.

Maybe because the defending/rebounder has a higher base strength? Only reason I can think of without badges

The more I think about it, the more I feel like the 3 & D build (3pt primary, defending secondary) is going to be one of the best utility/glue archetypes if you're a Pro-am player. They're not gonna blow anyone away, can't do it all, but man, they just have exactly what every team values, and what every team will have a need for regardless of what their current personnel situation is. Good defense, and good 3 point shooting is always in demand.

It's just one of those builds where basically anyone can play it correctly, and it's hard to screw up. As long as you don't try and do too much, just play defense, and space the floor, knock down open 3's you're set. I think this build will definately be my backup build, for when we have a weird set of personnel we're trying to run with. Probably going to make a SF/PF tweener, about 6'8 or 6'9 modeled after Shane Battier.

Really not sure what I wanna do for my center build. I love being able to hit a decent midrange, enough to keep the D honest and be able to finish strong through or over someone, but most importantly I always have my eye on the perimeter when people collapse on me inside or when I grab a board and kick it out.. So I'm thinking of maybe a finisher/rebounder or something so i can bully inside and grab boards but I'm not sure..

Rebounder as a primary gives you Hustle Rebounder (helps snag board AND gives a bonus to outside shooters if you kick it out).

I was considering a 3pt/Slasher at the 4 around 6'10, 225 to work as a PnP, PnR, cutter, glue guy with my typically ball dominant guards. Why?

Having a look at the chart that shows builds that can get to 86 and 90 ball contro and i noticed something interesting. Last year 6'10 Point Forwards only got 82 ball control whereas this year a 6'10 Pure Point Forward get at least 86, this makes me suspect that Pures this year can get 99's in their main attributes(obviously affected by height,weight,wingspan), Beluba did say that Pures are incredibly strong at what they do.

Iv been thinking and after the announcement that tier 3 dribble animations unlock at 86 I am fairly sure centers will never get them

Also even silver difficult shots and tireless scorer will be massive for post scorers

I just like the fact that they made playmakers have low strength and dunk, sure you will get by people pretty easily but you cant bully anyone around or posterize

Wouldn't put too much into that chart.. It's not official and it's just from estimates from last year on the upgrade bar amount.

No, the chart he's referring to that deals specifically with 86 and 90 ball control is official. It came from one of the developers on Twitter. There are other things floating around that are based on estimates though.

Great offensive builds

You will be able to do anything in the post with either. Rebounder build will have a faster player but at 7' 1 it won't matter you'll still be slowest guy on court



So fast breaks will be your kryptonite.
