Re: Dual Archetypes Confirmed... Thoughts? Combinations?

Coming from a centers eye these make the most sense mainly for duel archetypes

    Classic Rugged Centers

Post/rebounder.. still a beast in the post, HOF brickwall, Gold hustle rebounder + boxing out effectively should be more than enough for you to hold your ground.. solid for park/proAM

Rebounder/Athletic.. Hustle rebounder HOF.. basically a snagger with the genes of a an athletic finisher. An easy choice for snaggers who dont want to be pure glass cleaners.you should receive a slight boost in vertical/speed for being half athletic .. even though i honestly would probably still just make a pure glass but whatever. all and all great build for park/pro-am

Lockdown/Rebounder.. those centers who dont care about scoring and want to do the dirty work.. why i would go lockdown as primary well because id gladly take the improved lateral quickness and better defensive stats.. the build probably comes with gold hustle rebounder again.. simply knowing how to boxout and the gold hustle rebound should put you in good enough position to get a rebound... good for park/stage

lockdown/athletic- pretty much a backup plan for those paint protectors who always wanted to be efficient dunkers and reliable on offense.

Pure glass cleaner - can never go wrong here no need to explain HOF rebounder, HOF brickwall, HOF putback, HOF bruiser. It' an OG build and a very safe choice

    The new generation porzingis centers

stretch/rebounder - A build that will probably run wild in the park/pro-am/stage. ideally you want your shot as high as possible so primary would probably make most sense and again.. if this comes with gold hustle rebounder, gold brickwall your pretty much set you should do fine with this build but of course no HOF badges for you and you probably wont need them either.

stretch/shot creator- wtf right? just wait until your playing the 2's and your going up against a pure glass cleaner with HOF badges setting constant brickwalls and rolling to the basket while the 7'3 stretch shot creator is coming off the screen hitting fadeaway leaning jumpers you'll remember this post lol...

Pure stretch - cant go wrong here if your a big that loves shooting i expect to still see alot of these especially for pro-am

    Highflyer bigs

athletic/post - if the steal spam is truly reduced and its harder to steal the ball this build can do some serious damage athletic/post or post athletic i think their both good choices depending on how you like to play. this is pretty much a blake griffin/anthony davis

athletic/playmaking/ball handling - i think this might be the quickest bigman build on the game imo. i like this for big men who love flying into the lane for the highlight dunk the playmaking/ballhandling should be an extra cushion for ball security as you attack the rim

    and of course

pure athletic finisher - tear dropper replaced with relentless finisher makes this a legit power house under the rim. could be a useful pro-am choice if you pair it with another big man archetype that is half rebounder.

Yes actual. At 3:43 when it compares you to Kyrie. It exists. No one seems to have bothered to look at game player stats and look at attributes that way from what I can or at your teams roster.

According to some people at the event that's no longer possible. Very few steals were seen and they're hard to get apparently.

Player I want to make : SF 6'9 LDD/ playmaker
Player pro am team needs : 6'11 stretch / rebounder

I pray this grind isn't too bad . I'm not worried about the overalls. It's the badge so that scare me.

When it comes down to it, it all boils down to preference. IMO, some archetypes will not be worth while with low secondary caps. But it's up to the user.
It also comes down to it you're a Online user or Offline. For Online I think Pure Archetypes is the way to go if you mainly play a certain way. Or Archetypes that have more HoF badges. But for a offline user like myself. HoF badges aren't a priority. I'm more concerned about Attribute caps and what types of badges I am awarded.

Yeah, Like I said earlier it will really be up to the player. Some people might be able to utilize a guy that everyone else doesn't understand how to.

Plus you have a lot of player base that wanted certain things. Classicman's friend who kept making point centers and power forwards because he couldn't really be Magic Johnson. No single archetype gave him what he wanted so he used other ones in an outside the box manner.

I'm looking at Slasher/playmaker right now because I want a quicker first step at SG, Gold Posterizer will probably be fine as I'm hoping the momentum/weight will offset the hit I take in dunks and layups with the 2nd archetype.

The trade off is something I'm fine with as the slight bump to mid, ballhandling, and passing while my speed stays the same. I'm fine with sacrificing the 3 ball.

As to a page back the archetypes with gold badges vs. HOF badges. I think you'll see a lot of guys going after the most badges, that is true. I think the difference would be this: is it better to have 4 HOF badges, 5 Gold, 3 silver and 8 bronze?

Or is it better to have 1 HOF, 10 Gold, 9 Silver and 4 bronze?

Like, you really have to make choices based on what you want. I feel like the guys who just try to create a broken class are going to lose out to more specific niches.

A lot of hybrids don't have any HoF badges. I can almost guarantee that you won't get a HoF badge purely from your secondary archetype. Gold at the max.

The funniest thing about this post is that I really meant Gold but for some reason HOF was my mind lmao

The final decision depends also on which are the badges you get other than the 5 key ones.

But there are no information on that yet and speculation are hard to make especially for pure archetypes

Hope we are not stuck with only one during the prelude. So many variables and decisions compared to even last year.

Which I mentioned earlier....the only ones that will be attractive to players will be the ones with HOF badges. 2k should really consider just adding one HOF badge for each hybrid to make it more balanced.

Online will be nothing but guys with more than one HOF badge. I don't know who the badge guy is for 2k but he has been horrible with decisions when it comes to this.
