NBA 2K19 Play Now Online Thread

Classic dubs BS. First the AI tries to steal (deflects) the ball for me but it bounces right back to KD. Then I onball KD and he's jammed up with Wall holding the ball in-front so I swipe at it...foul.

Hey 2K IRL after a TO the players are getting back on D to stop a break, they don't stand still and start swiping at the air.



If I ever try to steal after a TO I'm actually running to in between who I think he's going to pass it to time the steal but in this game you can just stand still after a TO and mash. Again mashing beats timing.



Yes I should probably hold the ball and or try to icon pass instead but that's no fun, I want to get out on the break and be rewarded for playing good D.

I've maintained one of the easiest changes to balance the game will be to have the defense with more deflections out of bounds and recovering the vast majority of blocks/steals. The offense recovering so often defeats the purpose and punishes good defensive play.

I've maintained one of the easiest changes to balance the game will be to have the defense with more deflections out of bounds and recovering the vast majority of blocks steals. The offense recovering so often defeats the purpose and punishes good defensive play.

I agree with your comment. IRL, I can't think of a time where someone blocked my shot, and I recovered the ball back in the same play. Definitely the deflections need to be more random instead of mostly going back to the offense. I don't think it's as bad 2K18, but it could use some fine tuning.

As a side note, I think this was a bad example. He was clearly steal spamming and got a lucky steal then immediately threw a bad pass. To me, that was 100% user error. Also, the final steal by KD was user controlled.

Having a lot fun in PNO this year. I foul'd mcgee with .4 seconds he missed the first freethrow and gave the kid hope!

EVER, ask me again why I play the 2 on defense. Why? Overhelp is WHY. Because the SG is the most open player in NBA 2K history that's why. Now the game doesn't matter because its not my Sixers but the point stands. I'm over here testing out "pull the chair" on Howard messing around and the game gets good. Late he tries to go screen-roll..."no problem" i'm thinking, "we're good." Wall drives right but Harris is there and its still man-on-man. "Everyone's accounted for" I think.....and then, well...watch for yourself.

WTH? What are your defensive settings on? Almost your WHOLE team collapsed on the dribble drive. I know that I started playing with different defensive settings personally. I attempted to use Sam Pham's settings, but that might be too much micromanagement for me. Plus, I don't want to use a blanket approach in every game I play.

It's not a big deal (and i'm not mad) I just see that silly question here from time to time. But I usually leave ACE on and most of the default stuff too--I don't mind being the guinea pig to let the devs know what out-of-box settings aren't working. That said, those of us who know better know full well why its good to be proficient in off-ball defense *cough* pin downs *cough*

As long as the other user isn't abusing the AI there are ZERO complaints.

Quite the opposite, I wasn't steal spamming. I never touched steal button after the inbound. I tried to double KD and he panicked and threw it to where I had 2 defenders infront of the receiver. The AI stole it for me. That's not luck I made a strategic effort on D and got rewarded.

Bad pass perhaps, but that's only because the guy was mashing square right after the TO, yes user controlled, and that's what everyone is complaining about.

Secondly see how KD bumps me off before picking up the ball? That only happens by mashing square so it was just a continuation of the mashing he was already doing after the TO.

This year 2K more than ever is expecting me to mash also to wrestle for loose balls....if I had started mashing square too like an id*** he may not have stealed it so easily.

Exactly the guy was rubbish that's why I gambled a lot. Curry was open for 3 on that play lol

It was only close because of he was dubs, many times I went up 6-8 points which is hard against them only for some cheese to happen and he would catch up.
