How many of you have broke All-Time NBA season records? The easiest one for my 2nd year PG is Calderon's FT%. I'm currently nearing the record by several percentage points after each consecutive FT made. Haven't checked him out, but team-mate Toney Douglas is playing great this season, and is on pace to come close to Allen's 3PM record.

What should I change my jersey# to? #10, the number I currently wear, is already retired by the Knicks. Any suggestions? Also interesting to see Rose changed his jersey # this season...to #8

So far I broke records for assists in a game (previously 30, now 31), steals in a game (previously 11, now 18), steals in a season (preciously 301, now with 22 games left 429).
As for jersey #'s choose your lucky number or something, like my lucky number is 2 but was taken so I changed it to 22, when I wanted to change it to 2 after the player left, I figured when my contract expires this year I'll change it since I most likely won't be back in Indiana, too easy here. I didn't change it also because all of my Indiana endorsements have me as number 22, I thought it would look weird if i changed it to 2, my endorsements saying one thing but in game showing another.

Hi, my name is caffeinater and I'm addicted to MyPlayer.

This is my first post here. I bought my first NBA 2K game last year and played a ton of MyPlayer and got a bunch of great info on this forum. It helped me take 6'10" All-Around SF Nate James to a 99 overall rating and two titles.

I bought 2K12 before Christmas, but issues such as getting married prevented me from actually opening the game until last week. This time around, I wanted a different playing experience, so I created 7'1" All-Around C Nate Jackson. He's currently a 72 overall rating halfway through his second season.

Here are the important things I believe in:

1. Jesus
2. Turning off auto-save and using multiple save files
3. Using the Dribble Course drill to earn Speed attributes (quitting and trying again in order to get Speed, in in conjunction with point #2)
4. Requesting trades as often as necessary to land in mutually beneficial situations (exploring different requests at different times, in in conjunction with point #2)
5. Setting picks and boxing out in order to maximize teammate grade

Thanks for all the great info that's been shared on here so far. Hopefully I can contribute something to help out other folks.

There is one major issue that I've experienced, and I'm surprised that I haven't seen it mentioned in here. (Yes, I've read the entire thing! I'm going to read the bugs and glitches thread next.) THE GAME REGULARLY ROBS ME OF SKILL POINTS! By this, I mean: on the Performance screen at the end of the game, it tells me how many skill points I earned... and I often receive a number less than that in my balance, confirmed by the stats under the Previous Game - My Stats box on the Home screen. Since earning a spot in the starting lineup, I have primarily played key games only. So let's say I earn 1500 points, which gets doubled to 3000... I get to the Home menu and find that I received anywhere from 200-500 fewer points!

So please watch for this in your games and let me know if I'm the only one getting robbed...

Since earning a spot in the starting lineup, I have primarily played key games only. So let's say I earn 1500 points, which gets doubled to 3000... I get to the Home menu and find that I received anywhere from 200-500 fewer points!

So please watch for this in your games and let me know if I'm the only one getting robbed...

I honestly never knew about nor seen this, I'll have to check it and keep an eye on it. Thanks man.

As I alluded to, I am a fan of trades. I was drafted by the Timberwolves, which was a decent situation but I got tired of losing every rebound to Kevin Love. (I did not yet know that I would lose rebounds to 6-foot guards just as easily.) From there I went to the Heat, but then wanted to play with a real PG, so I requested and got a trade to the Clippers. Lob City! (But always to Blake, never Nate...) We reached the Western semifinals, which I felt was a good run for my rookie season.

I would have stayed there, but Chris Paul exercised his option and signed with Cleveland in free agency. So I requested a trade to my hometown Bulls, getting swapped for Korver and the #4 draft pick SG/SF. I enjoyed playing with them as they have a very balanced lineup and a great PG, but I didn't feel that I fully benefited the team by pushing Noah to the bench. So I looked for another team with a good PG and swingmen but a gap in the frontcourt. My search led me to the... 76ers (who had traded Elton Brand for Joe Johnson). Having read about the draft order bug, it was with a bit of shame that I requested and received a trade to Philly (swapped for the #1 draft pick, an 82-rated SG). But my justification was that even though their team rating was great, the on-court product wasn't, and they were sitting at 16-24. Ten games later, we had closed the gap and were in a tie for the 8th playoff seed, just below .500.

But I still feel guilt about abandoning my hometown Bulls and joining the team benefiting the most from the draft pick bug. I thought, how nice it would be to go back to the Bulls in exchange for another big man to clear out the logjam at Center. So I explored trade options back to Chicago, and sure enough, got swapped for Noah straight-up!

So what should I do? Make the switch back to the Bulls (in a poor man's version of the Dwight Howard trade that everyone knows would be the best outcome in that real-life situation)? Or stay where I'm really needed in Philadelphia, and suppress the feelings of guilt about the draft order bug (or hope for another patch)?

Just had the best overall game I possibly could with all I was aiming at was points going in. In 41 minutes, 82 points, 7 rebounds, 10 assists, 12 steals, 2 blocks, on 45% shooting, 56% from behind the arc, and 83% shooting 15-18 from the free throw line.

Just found this out when I tried it, when you change your number, your endorsements change to that number also. I have a billboard where I was player of the month and a billboard was up when I was #22, I changed to #2 and so did the billboard.

You're not the only one. I get around 100 SP deducted every game. And playing for the Knicks, having so many Star Player Matchups with so many PGs, I'll easily get "robbed" of around 15,000 SP per 82 game season by my estimation...I ended up earning 320,000 SP in my Rookie Season+Playoffs, so that's only like 5% but that could've meant an attribute boosted by a lot.

2 Thins I wonder:

1. Why my MP doesn't perform spin-dunk at all? (both in-game and in shootaround) I didn't have a problem performing spin dunk with players like MJ, Kobe, Lebron, Derrick Eose and etc. When I try to do spin-dunk, my MP will just make spin jump shot for some reasons. It's werid since I don't have a problem performing spin-layup.

Not sure whether it relates to my style of play (3pt SG) or my tendency. I have 97 dunk, 97 vertical and all my skills (including spin-layup/spin-dunk) are great. Someone said that if I put too many specialty dunks or dunk package, they will reduce the chance for my MP to do spin-dunk but when I remove all of them, my MP stillstill doesn't do spin-dunk at all. Anyone know something about this?

2. Can our MP change our tendencies? (Ex. by shooting many 3pt, ur 3pt tendency will go uptend) I never notice the change in my tendencies at all. (but I didn't observe them closely so I may be wrong)

PS. My standing dunk is just 50-55 (maxed out) but I doubt it will relate to spin-dunk. (Other players I use to do spin-dunk with no problem have low standing dunk rating.)

This glitch started for me after the Patch/Update v1.5. A very annoying glitch considering the fact that I have spent many hours getting to this point in his career. Yes, Clark Kellogg its a "Terrific Feeling"..."Just Special"... that I have at the moment!

The booing intensifies as the game progresses and makes it real intresting in those "clutch" moments late in the game @ the Foul Line.

After removing the update/patch and re-loading it, now my Jordan Brand Shoes are gone...just Great!

At Ovr: 85, I can't spin dunk with either my PG or Center, its probably linked to Abilities (Layup). Once I upgrade will let you know.

First the good news; earning enough skill points with a few Key Games we now have Dribble Pull-Up and Fadeway @ Average. After the upgrades the "STAR" appeared on the A-Train. (Pos Rank: 7th; OVR Rank:18th)

It's getting Weird...

The erratic shooting and the booing on my home court continues. I think I made a mistake re-loading the v1.05 update/patch; I have lost my Nike-ID Shoes (+4 - 3pt) and with that my 3-pt Shot at (85) is not getting it done (I can no longer hit a 3, period).

I have noticed even when I take a good shots some of them are BRICKS (wide right and clanging off the back of the rim between the backboard)! Personally I have shot a few of these ugly ones playing organized basketball, so the realism is even more frustrating!

The easy fastbreak score all of a sudden is gone on steals (getting maybe one per game).

And for some reason I have been dribbling off more feet as of late. And "oddly" enough Devin Harris (Jazz) stole the ball from me in my last game. He has a (86) steal rating but to be honest I am real cautious with the ball on the perimeter.

Despite my average dipping from 26.5 ppg to 20.5 ppg during this "slump", (FG% - .472; 3P%: .241); I keep getting GREAT overall performance ratings!

All of this has had a positive effect on my Assists as we now consistently get 10 more assists per game. I figure after I get my Stepback Jumper to Average (8532 SP), we can address the "missing shoes" and dedicate 9000 SP to fixing that. Then again, since I am a little more than a 1/3 there, maybe I should upgrade Ball Security (81)(1164 SP)?

Now for the BIG finish, Teammate Chemistry (100), League Wide Popularity (87) and Local Fan Support (91)(all Blue trending up), the Knicks are (17-9), Power Ranking: 6th; No. 1 Conference Ranking, OVR: 83, we are not filling Madison Square Garden!

After my latest game @ the Press Conference they asked me if I heard the trade rumors regarding the A-Train?

Rumor Mill: A-TRAIN: FREE AGENT WITH A "CATCH"
-A-TRAIN: They haven't talked to me about it all" (I hit the X button)

WTH! No, I haven't asked for a Trade, but I have a strange feeling this has something to do with the STUPID BOOING....FORTUNATELY for them the Jazz are not interested in trading for the A-Train. I am actually focused on defending the title and not thinking about juming ship (For Now).

I have a strange feeling there was more in the v1.05 patch/update then just fixing the Freeze Load Setting bug.

If you look on nba2k.com you will see myplayers that average over 100 points per game...they may have added a little pushback on how easy it is to Shoot/Score w/jumpers .... and just may have fixed the "Star" player option of deciding who gets traded? Okay I may have gone too far with the end of the last sentence...

Question: Has anyone who has earned their Star status received the BOO treatment on their Home Court w/o asking for a Trade (PS3 or XBOX)?

I've heard of this happening to PS3 owners after the 1.05 patch (the one XBox owners didn't get). I have yet to hear this happening to the XBox. What is star status and how is it achieved?

Doess anyone else get stuck into post up animation without the ball? This hapens to me a lot. I will get sucked into the post up where they call for the ball, and then I'm not able to get out of it. It really pisses me off, because I am constantly getting called for 3 sec violations. Maybe my strength rating has something to do with it.

After my rookie showcae game, I was projected 9th to the Bobcats. For some reason, I slid all the way to the Celtcs at 23. I figured it would be a good fit, because I'm sure Ray Allen will probably retire after a year or 2. Well, they are all pretty much ball hogs. I don't even really want to be a starter right now anyways, but I wanna go to a team that will actually pass me the ball with more than 3 sec left on the shot clock. Should I ask for a trade?
