As a Bull myself in MP as a PG, it's pretty fun. You have Rose, who can score, you have Deng, who can hit the 3-ball, there's plenty of scoring options for assists. Rose just becomes the sixth man.

Memphis is sick. So are the clippers Atlanta (never give jj the ball) I've had good experiences with Denver too. But the magic, even though you said u don't want to go there. Are the best. You will average 20 assists per game if you drive to the net and push the fast break.Last edited by westwood; 03-18-2012, 02:17 AM.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K12 My Player Thread
What are good places to request a trade to as a PG. Last year i had a lot of fun playing on the spurs but i kind of want to do something different. I don't want to play on the Lakers, Heat or Magic like everybody else does. I don't want to go to the Knicks since my last MP was on them and the only way we ever won was if I simmed the game. Maybe memphis?Comment

Haha so you consider mike Conley a stud? Most would not. And it's a point guards league so most teams have a decent or above average pgComment

Re: Official NBA 2K12 My Player Thread
he's like 3rd in the league in assist to turnover ratio, with z-bo missing i think 40 games so far this year? leads the league in steals. good defender. decent scorer. your definitely spot on about it being a PG league though so i'll concede that point. i guess all that really matters is you like the team you end up with, not if its entirely realistic.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K12 My Player Thread
I tried going to back to my 2K11 MP PG to see what how I originally played, but the gsme froze. I do however remember what teams I played on.
In my first season, I lead the Heat and the Big 3 to a Championship and I was Finals MVP and I won ROY.
So far in my second season, I played a little for the Hornets, and then got traded to the Knicks.
Me, Melo, and Amar'e formed a Big 3, and damn, it was easy to get assists there.Comment

Why are you torturing yourself?
You know what you got to do. It's too easy for you to win with a trio of Stars!
After playing "successfully" but not enjoying myself at Superstar/SIM; I knew it would be "boring" going down a notch at an OVR: 93 with the Knicks, so I just started over completely w All-Star/Sim.

Re: Official NBA 2K12 My Player Thread
I'm scoring 24 PPG on 15 shots per game, shooting 54%...Our team (Knicks) takes roughly 85 shots per game...if I used up all our possessions and shot 40%, that would be roughly 70 PPG...lolCanucks | Packers | Blue Jays | Lakers | Raptors

.I don't see how you average 85 PPG and a FG% of .810. That's free throw shooting percentages.Comment

True, true.
And I can't seem to get my man to roll, stll after following your directions for the pnr. Do I release after I get to my man?Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K12 My Player Thread
You release before he gets set maybe hold then count "one" release before his set and he should roll after the pick. maybe go to scrimmage mode and practice for a few minutes to make sure you have it down.Comment

Oh... I thought I was supposed to release after he set the pick.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K12 My Player Thread
For those of you who are entering say - your fifth season in MP mode:
Do you play all the games? Or do you only key game it? I've heard a few different strategies. Some say it's better to play all games in all your seasons. Others say it's best to play all of your rookie year, and then you can key game it throughout your other seasons. Which leads me to another question, that nobody appears to have the answer for. Other than completing milestones and whatnot during simulation if you key game it only, do you get any other Skill Points? Like say for good shots, and assists and what not? Or do you only get those when you actually play. If that's the case, then I think I'll continue doing what I do, and just play every game.NBA - CHICAGO BULLS

This is my experience with having played 6 My Players ...
Starting off, I play all the games until my attributes are where I like them... The first 15 games as a rookie are mandatory (15 games is the absolute minimum number of games the AI forces you to play as a non-starter barring an injury or trade that thrusts you into a starting role.) So if you only play key games it can mean you are on the bench your entire first season because you have not met your minimum quota.
After the first season, I play until I get my attributes exactly where I want them, then depending on mood, I switch off between the two styles. I have 2 current MyPlayer files - one which I play every minute of every game, and the other where I play mostely key games only.
I tend to enjoy the one where I play every minute of every game I can more, because I enjoy balling with all the real-life guys more then I do the computer generated guys. I most likely will not finish my career with this guy, because it would take a very long time to play a whole career this way.
My goal with my "key-game" file is to finish the career to see the Hall of Fame speech etc and to see if the stats stay realistic over time. I don't enjoy this as much as the other, because the AI substitutes computer generated players way too often and it ends up doing things like trading Steve Nash (which while logical to a computer, just would not happen as seen this year) and this seems like I am just going through the motions to get to the "finish line" before 2k13 is released.
To answer your question, the only skill points I have ever gotten outside of milestones were the ones I earned by actually playing. No skill points were received while simming outside of key games where I played in file 2.Comment
