I made a post during the demo impressions saying this. It's like they took skill out of the game this year. The game is good if you just play it and pace yourself though and don't cheese it too bad. I don't play online anymore because i'm just tempted to do that and it gets lame.
I was told wait until you get the full version and play on simulation. That's why i rented it and haven't bought the game yet. I really like the game though. It plays really well if you don't cheese it too bad. But like i was saying i wish they put more into the defensive side of the ball. It's just kind of cheesy when the cpu can stand there at the top of the key while you are trying to steal it with the ball being held right in front of you and then the cpu just drives the lane as the shot clock expires with an invisible forcefield around them. That stuff definately still exists...
I really would like to see what this game would be like if they added real physics and concentrated on making it more true to life. The problem is most of these people who make these games don't think that way. I Watch the games and can see exactly what i want and how i would do things but unfortunately the majority of people don't think that deep into it. I really don't even think they think defense first.
I'm a celtics fan. It's a mentality. Most people don't even understand why the celtics are successful. I do. It's not so much about star power. It's more about players playing their roles and defense. Pacing of the game. All that stuff. Little details that a lot of people miss.
