spankdatazz22, you are exactly right. I've basically been skimming through the same complaints and also same posts. It's like every post now is focused on this one issue. Some of you guys write in here like you know EVERYTHING about business and game production. You guys write like you KNOW for a fact that VC will not patch this problem, though it's VERY possible and VERY easy.
It's a simple glitch. Somewhere or somehow, a variable of "0" and "1" may have mixed. Works pretty much like the finals glitch of last year's game. The variable has been mis-coded or mixed up, so a patch is very easily in the cards. I believe that VC will fix this problem as they have fixed similar problems in the past. Sure 2K4 didn't recieve the patches it needed, but that game needed a patch for everything it offered.
However, spankdatazz22 is right, how can we go on and on about all of this when it's clearily evident that VC did a lot of work on the game in less than a years time. However, because somewhere this problem came through, we are going to boycott all VC games and spit on them, even though they have attempted to create the most realistic sports games today.
Someone mentioned the glitches in EA games because for some reason, they are ignored by the majority. EA had to recall Madden last year because of the import problem. They didn't do it out of the kindness of their hearts and felt for the consumer, they did it because it was a feature they sold us that didn't work. VC does not state anywhere that a timeout will not be called by the CPU, and thus, can not be sued for any false advertising. That's the ONLY reason why EA did the recall. They do not want to lose more money from lawsuits than just re-releasing the games.
I say give it one month. Come November 1st, I bet we'll have info on a patch or have a patch available. While this would be great, but the best thing we could do is respect the developers of VC for putting in so much effort in this rebuilt franchise. This technically is the first NBA 2K. It was built from the ground up and completely overhauled. We can try to pursuade Sega/VC to release a patch with the Xbox magazine, or submit CD's to local retailers that will patch the game. It's cost effective and will help all with the game.
If I worked on the game and read these posts, as a human being, I'd naturally want to say, "**** You!". No different than when I'm working at Taco Bell as fast as I can to serve my customers, only for them to cuss me out and think they have some grand power. We should confront Sega/VC and inform we understand that these things happen. We are all HUMAN BEINGS, regardless what you guys think the game isn't real. We should not jump their throats, but inform them that if they attempt to fix this issue, we will highly respect everything these guys have done. Please assist our problems with the game and display to us that you support your consumers. That would be greatly appreciated.

You are kidding right?!?!!
