Disclaimer: I got 0. I was initially very jealous upon hearing this. But, hindsight I am glad I didn't do it. I would have a completely full AS lineup and would have 0 motivation to play the game any longer.
Exactly, they didn't circumvent the game to acquire said cards. So there is no basis for a ban.

A few things, Ramon works for 2K not Cat Daddy. He and I work closely together though as he is one of the marketing people working on MyNBA2K. However, he doesn't talk to the dev team other than me. 2K/Cat Daddy (we are a wholly owned studio of 2K) are off tomorrow so the final decision of how the situation will be rectified will not be made until then. We need everyone to be in the office. We do know exactly who got free cards and how many it affected. I will not say how we are rectifying the situation though until at least Tuesday, again many need to be in the conversation. We did fix the flash sales to prevent this moving forward.

This was my exact line of thinking. Why I thought it was a troll.

Well this is good news then. I too wished they would have addressed this in a more professional manner.

I managed to get in the last 8 or so minutes of the sale and got a few star cards. I had to use 6 WC to pro them earlier today, seeing as how we hadn't heard a thing from CD in over a day I figured it was safe. If they can give me my wilds back then I'm perfectly fine with them taking the AS cards back. If they take my 6 WC I'm going to be livid.

If you didn't need the cards, why would you open the packs in the first place? 6 pros and 20 singles, and assuming you are not the luckiest user ever, is well above 50 packs. Just curious

I am just a casual user. I mostly use the app to get VC for the main game. I just logged in randomly and saw the free deal and took advantage (as most would) for as long as it lasted.

If they want to roll back, that's fine. But I don't feel like I should be banned when I didn't do anything malicious to get this deal. Just wanted to give my point of view from another aspect.

Re: OS Concerns: All-Star 2016 Pack Glitch

Why so much discussion? It was not a glitch. It was a programming mistake!
A glitch would be if they put it for 50% off and when you buy it it takes 0 credits of you. That is a glitch.

I see people talking about banning people. I didn't take any cause I didn't see it. But this isn't our problem or for those who have 10000 All star pros. This is CD's problem. Don't adress the problem to the players!

Any solution they come up will make someone unhappy. That is the world. It's not always the best solution to everyone.

Now what they have to do is chose which way they will lose less players for their profit.
Rolling back? Taking the cards away? Creating new cards so the AS become useless? Any of these will make some unhappy. But they have to choose who they will lose.

One thing is for sure. Not saying a word about it it will make them lose the most players.

I am a money spender. I stopped to play at the moment that happened. I'm waiting their decision to decide if I'll keep playing or will quit the game.

Well technically, I could have used them. But I am winning seasons without them so I do not need them to make my lineup viable in seasons. I am one of those people who enjoys the rush of opening new packs. So I end up opening a lot of extras packs even though I don't need them. I probably opened about 100 packs in the 20 minutes that I knew about this 100% off deal. I can't imagine how it would have been had I known about this for the entire hour it was available. I will say this the 20 minutes of adrenaline that I got from opening those packs felt amazing. It was like I was coming down off some designer drugs after it was over. I wish this game gave that much of a rush on a regular basis

That rush is the main reason I am jealous I didn't get to do it. Opening packs is a rush. In this case it was more about trying to get something useful before they kill it. But usually it's not wanting to have wasted credits for nothing. I've paid for 3 star card packs and got 0 stars...so the feeling goes both ways.

I agree with Nug, I LOVE opening up packs and trying to get the best things. On Madden 15, I opened up a ton of packs using an amount of money I'm too ashamed to disclose. On the app, the most satisfying thing is a tie between 1. Seeing a Wild Card flip over (or in this case, a star flipping over) or 2. the COMPLETED animation on RttC.

I opened up the free packs too under the assumption that CD would take them back soon so It was just for fun. I haven't touched the Stars I pulled and the Legendaries, I either quicksold them or pro-ed them if I had 3 (just to conserve space, they're not leveled, in my deck, etc.).

I just want the game to go back to what it was. The 5 Star pros I worked hard for meant nothing. The Foil Ray Allen I bought Game Nights for meant nothing.

If these posts are really from Danan Davis, it really highlights two major issues with CD.

                                1) Crisis management is absolutely flawed. They apparently fixed the flash sale over the weekend. That means they had programming staff on hand. For whatever reason, the biggest problem occuring during their main event went unnoticed and unaddressed. That's unacceptable.

                                2) Perhaps more egregious is the total silence. They don't have to have the answers or decision. It can be as simple as we know what happened and we are looking into it. Much like the facebook post above. But total silence is incompetence and indifference rolled into one.
