Re: Official NBA Offseason/Player Movement Thread
Bass to ORL would make them damn tough on paper
CV to CLE would make 2/3 off their offseason to do list.. last one is getting a bigger 2 guardComment

Re: Official NBA Offseason/Player Movement Thread
JJ's actually starting to become a decent backup though. Becoming a much more well rounded player than he used to be. Still not very good, but not that bad for a backup.NFL: Bills

Re: Official NBA Offseason/Player Movement Thread
I mean, there are definitely better backup players, but he is improving and if he's able to get half the confidence back he had in college, he can find his role. As of now, though, I would love to get somebody else lol. Even if not, I feel we can hide him if minutes are used appropriately between VC, Pietrus, Ryan Anderson and Rashard Lewis.Comment

Re: Official NBA Offseason/Player Movement Thread
He can't make wide open shots...If he can't do that, he has no use being on an NBA roster...Comment

Re: Official NBA Offseason/Player Movement Thread
He was making 4.5 mil last season.
Celtics and Spurs are also interested...It makes sense he asks for that much. He has no problem going back to Europe because that's where he made a great career for himself.
I think Olympiakos is offering him like a 5 year deal or so.Comment

Re: Official NBA Offseason/Player Movement Thread
Brankles, you guys will love Ryan Anderson down there. Has a nice 3pt and mid range game but just doesn't have that same driving ability that Hedo had. But once he develops that then he'll be a real good player for you guys.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: Official NBA Offseason/Player Movement Thread
I can pretty much guarantee that the Cavaliers will not offer Anthony Parker that much money, the MLE is going to a stretch PF *Sheed, Dyse, Charlie*.
I'll settle for Matt Barnes if that is the case.Too Old To Game Club

Re: Official NBA Offseason/Player Movement Thread
.The Nets announced this morning that they have officially picked up Jarvis Hayes:
East Rutherford, N.J.â€â€TheÂ*New Jersey Nets have exercised the team option on the contract of forwardÂ*Jarvis Hayes for the 2009-10 season, Nets President Rod Thorn announced today.
“Jarvis was a key member of our rotation last season, providing instant scoring and the ability to stretch the defense,†said Thorn.Â* “We are pleased to have him continue as a member of our roster, and look forward to a similar contribution this season.â€Â
Hayes, a 6-8 forward from the University of Georgia, signed as a free agent with the Nets on July 16, 2008.Â* In 2008-09, he played in 74 games including one start.Â* Hayes averaged 8.7 points and 3.6 rebounds in 24.8 minutes per contest while shooting a career-high .445 (257-577) from the field, a career-high .385 (94-244) from three-point range and .692 (36-52) from the line.
Javris Hayes is the type of player that Thorn loves. Â*He can do a little bit of everything, plus he comes cheap (the option was for about $2 million) after having a pretty productive season.
We now have only one roster spot unclaimed, well for now at least. Â*Trenton Hassell has until tomorrow to let the Nets know whether or not he will be exercisingÂ*his $4.4 million player-option. Â*The general consensus is he will because who in their right mind would give Hassell 4.4 million for this next year.#RespectTheCultureComment

Please. Wait until he actually gets consistent playing time. And saying he can't make wide open shots is like saying LeBron can't dunk.Comment
