Now when you factor that in with his age and stubborness then you have what we are looking at now. Solving this problem falls on Iverson's shoulders and his ALONE. Nobody and I repeat nobody can change his image or perception than him. If he goes out this season and plays well, goes to practice, and doesn't have any problems no matter who he plays for teams will be lined up for his services next off season.

Re: The Allen Iverson Saga
I haven't chimed in on the interesting (to say the least) thread about Iverson but have decided to now. I am and always have been a huge Iverson and agree with some of what is being said on both sides of the argument. But here is my stance or what I think is going with iverson.
I believe the reason why alot of teams aren't going after Iverson doesn't have alot to do with his age, skill, or playing style. The thing that i believe that is trumping them all is the precieved or actual attitude problem that Iverson has. The man can still play the game and put points on the board but his attitude and rep is what is killing him. We all know that this league and the world for that matter is a what have you done for me lately league. And let's face it no matter your stance in this argument his last impression/season with the Pistons was not a good one. No matter who's fault it is it looks bad for Iverson. When you factor in the economy, shrinking cap, and all the other factors less teams are going to willing to take a risk on a player that they think could destroy thier locker room and chemistry.

Ron Artest went through a similar situation after the brawl and looked how great his situation has turned around. Nobody but the Kings wanted him after the brawl happened but he went to Sac town kept his head on straight and performed and now there was teams lined up to offer him money this off season.
It can all be turned around and Iverson can be looked at like the warrior he was in Philly but it all starts and ends with Iverson. As a fan of his since his HS days I hope he gets on with somebody and proves people wrong like he has done before but the realist in me has my doubts. Only time will tell.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: The Allen Iverson Saga
Thanks PrettyT11... again its his attitude.. and Muzyk
Thanks for the tid bit.. maybe he's looking to do just that, change his public perception because he really needs to at this point, but going to the Clippers wont help him in that facet.
Im not sure about his age and all of that stuff, I never saw that as a problem at all.Comment

Re: The Allen Iverson Saga
Yet he's 5th all time in career steals per game. I love how people like to discredit this fact by saying he gambles a lot blah blah, it takes a hell of a lot energy and smarts to get 1 steal in any game. To be 5th all time isn't an easy feat. That threat puts a lot of pressure on teams trying to execute on offense.Comment

Pressure on teams trying to execute on offense. Pssshhh. What pressure? Just give the ball to whoever AI is pretending to guard.Comment

Re: Iverson to Bobcats in 2009-2010?
As a Sixers fan, I would love to see him back in Philly. We can move him back to his original position of SG.
And Andre Miller at point, Iggy at SF, Thaddeus Young at PF("F" Elton Brand) And Dalembert. I would love to see it!Last edited by TrapStar215; 07-17-2009, 05:27 PM."Okay, here's the story. I could go right to the top."

And even if you add in Brand to the starting five, that is 4 out of the 5 that need the ball to be effective.
Yeah, all kinds of fail there.Comment

Re: The Allen Iverson Saga
You know what I just realized...
Here on OS, we have a prime example of what can happen with A.I. in the mix.
We were a team, a unit, a family, and had so much chemistry.
Then A.I. gets in here and becomes involved, and look what happened.
