Oh, the cost wouldn't be worth it but Allen would get increases in his numbers (which is all he has left to play for). He would attract fans but Iverson is fools gold at this stage of his career. He would best be served coming off the bench but he refuses.

Re: Iverson wants to go to Memphis?
Everyone acts like winning a ring defines a player and it does not!
I'm sure If Iverson wanted a ring he could sign with one of the top dogs and accept his role.
He could turn into the next Robert Horry, yet people still will have something to say oh he just rode so and so's back and etc...
All I know is pound for pound onle a few guards can be mention with Iverson based on individual skills and careers.
Teams are different because there is always BETTER teams.
If you can name me 1 team Iverson has played on that was hands down the best or even top 3 in the league on paper then I will shut up.Comment

Re: Iverson to Bobcats in 2009-2010?
<table bgcolor="#cccccc" border="0" cellspacing="1" width="640"><tbody><tr bgcolor="#ffffff"><td><center> 1 </center></td> <td> Iverson-Stuckey-Hamilton-Prince-Wallace</td> <td align="right">251 </td> <td align="right">1.07 </td> <td align="right">0.98 </td> <td align="right"> +53 </td> <td align="right"> 15 </td> <td align="right"> 8 </td> <td><center>65.2</center></td></tr></tbody></table>
With this line up they won 65% of the games. If you ask me there was some rotation problems which usally comes with the coaching staff. after putting RIP on the bench this is what it looks like
<table bgcolor="#cccccc" border="0" cellspacing="1" width="640"><tbody><tr bgcolor="#f0f0df"><td><center> 4 </center></td> <td> Iverson-Stuckey-Prince-McDyess-Wallace</td> <td align="right">143 </td> <td align="right">1.05 </td> <td align="right">1.02 </td> <td align="right"> +9 </td> <td align="right"> 10 </td> <td align="right"> 10 </td> <td><center>50.0</center></td></tr></tbody></table>
Funny isn't it? how did he destroy the pistons when RIP went to the bench they lost more games.. problem was Iverson was replaced by stuckey then moved to SG while RIP was being replaced by prince who couldn't play PF... so they moved him to SF which tore into RIPS minutes.. and caused a hep of ish...
If they would of stuck with the first line up Or took prince out and put Mcdyess on PF and prince on the bench they'd probably be 55/27 sad to say the rotations were all wrong no one is to blame but the coaching staff.

Check all the previous rotations there is no rotations that they went a higher winning % during that time he still avg 20+ points a game.Comment

Re: Iverson wants to go to Memphis?
I gotta tell you.
I'm a little sad today.
Allen Iverson was one fo my favorite basketball players. Most likely for reasons everyone already knows.
Seeing this guy now just makes me sick to my stomach.
I never wanted to beleive Iverson was selfish, i thought he was just a winner who was never surrounded by any talent...when the fact is, he didnt want to be surounded by talent.
he is the worst player to have as a "teammate" in any capacity of basketball...a guy who refuses to do anythign to help the "team" and a guy who is only about himself.
As I get older im starting to wisen up a lil bit, and this guy is a joke...he does not care about winning as much as he would want us to beleive...that is of course unless HE and he alone is the reason behind the winning... he is Kobe 4 years ago magnified X10
My ball, my court, my scoring, me me me me.
I cant beleive i used to get into arguments over Iverson at work when people were dissing him.
Im ****ing sad.
The worst part is people keep saying "If he would just accept his role and be a spark plug off the bench"....well no... if he would just move without the ball come off a screen or two, realize he doesnt have to have the ball at all times to play the game, etc etc.
People wonder why NBA Basketball sucked donkey balls a few years ago.
Well it was because of players liek this..selfish me first street ballers, who only want to do crossovers and hog the ball.
People wanna bag on Stephon but atleast he changed his ways. Allen can learn a thing or two from him.
Im sick to my stomach.#SimnationComment

Re: Iverson wants to go to Memphis?
Didn't he average 26 and 7 before coming to Detroit?
Has Ben Gordon ever done it?
Didn't the Nuggets win 50 games with the smallest back court ever?
Didn't the Nuggets lose to the same team they lost to last season w/o Iverson?
Dude be quiet you don't know much of what you're talking about.
NOT EVERYONE IS A RAIN CHASER.I HATE RAIN CHASERS,IT WOULD BE EASY FOR HIM TO GO TO THE LAKERS OR CAVS AND WIN A RING YES! BUT THAT'S WHAT'S WRONG WITH THE WORLD NOW EVERYONE WANTS THE EASY WAY OUT.Comment

Re: Iverson wants to go to Memphis?
I'm not missing ****.I understand the reason he doesn't want to go to a stack team not because he's selfish but he wants to have played a major role in that teams success in which I understand.
Iverson is a superstar not no d*** role player,If you where in his shoes and you know you're better than lets say a D.Fisher or Mo Williams why would you go there and become a sixth man.
This is a job first and foremost and you have to be happy doing it.I don't know about y'all's competitve nature but I sure as hell don't wanna set no bench when I know I'm better than majority of the people on the team I would rather go to a team and start and take them somewhere, put that team on the map rather than go to a stack team just for a stupid ring.Comment
