Allen Iverson was one fo my favorite basketball players. Most likely for reasons everyone already knows.

Seeing this guy now just makes me sick to my stomach.

I never wanted to beleive Iverson was selfish, i thought he was just a winner who was never surrounded by any talent...when the fact is, he didnt want to be surounded by talent.

he is the worst player to have as a "teammate" in any capacity of basketball...a guy who refuses to do anythign to help the "team" and a guy who is only about himself.

As I get older im starting to wisen up a lil bit, and this guy is a joke...he does not care about winning as much as he would want us to beleive...that is of course unless HE and he alone is the reason behind the winning... he is Kobe 4 years ago magnified X10

I cant beleive i used to get into arguments over Iverson at work when people were dissing him.

Im ****ing sad.

The worst part is people keep saying "If he would just accept his role and be a spark plug off the bench"....well no... if he would just move without the ball come off a screen or two, realize he doesnt have to have the ball at all times to play the game, etc etc.

People wonder why NBA Basketball sucked donkey balls a few years ago.

Well it was because of players liek this..selfish me first street ballers, who only want to do crossovers and hog the ball.

People wanna bag on Stephon but atleast he changed his ways. Allen can learn a thing or two from him.

Im sick to my stomach.

Iverson is a superstar not no d*** role player,If you where in his shoes and you know you're better than lets say a D.Fisher or Mo Williams why would you go there and become a sixth man.

This is a job first and foremost and you have to be happy doing it.I don't know about y'all's competitve nature but I sure as hell don't wanna set no bench when I know I'm better than majority of the people on the team I would rather go to a team and start and take them somewhere, put that team on the map rather than go to a stack team just for a stupid ring.

He was a superstar 5 years ago. Now, he's a way below average defender and his offense has dropped dramatically. His shot selection has gotten worse as he got older and he's been on several teams now where he has almost single handedly cause their offense to go into total meltdown.

Honestly, if you can't see how much better Denver were as a team after he left...then you just don't understand basketball.

He then went to Detroit and had a chance to be a massive X factor...and cried off.

He's beyond defending at this point...and I say this as a guy who's argued his case for over a decade. He's just the epitomy of "me first".

I think the only reason he wants to play for Memphis is so he can still play AI type ball, and not worry about playing in a system. If that's been said already I don't know since I'm just coming into this thread waay late; been on holiday the past week.

The fact is, Iverson wants to go to a ****ty team like the Grizzlies so he can be a "star" again. He's selfish, he doesn't give a **** about winning a ring.

i heard Miami had some interest in him for the vet minimum (1.3 mil). I would rather see him go there. the thing is that AI is not a point guard. If they did the deal with denver and somehow keep miller i think it would have worked out much better. The point is that AI can still ball. Everyone says he shoots too much but he def held back in detroit and people say he fell off. i just think he can still be effective.

it should def be an interesting locker room if he goes to memphis with him and randolph hahaha

You can say the same thing about him wanting a ring....Maybe he just wants to play basketball....SMH

that comment defeats the purpose of you calling him selfish, lol cuz its basically the same thing....

Maybe he wants to WIN a ring....

Also its not like he turned a contract down from a contender....

If he said " I only want to play for the Laker" people would bash him for that....

Stupid or dumb is prolly best but calling him selfish because he is interested in mem is equally as dumb....

AI is AI....he will never be a role player unless he cleary cant play anymore(which most of you guys think anyway)

I guess little scorers are always going to be called selfish...

Curry would not be fired if it was AI's selfishness that ruin the team....
