Re: AI speaks out..in a way
Just like Jason Kidd,Grant Hill and countless others will lose until they accept a 6th man role and change lol.
We can go all day.
BTW you never responded to my post why has the only teams that won rings had legit 20+ and 10+ bigs who were either done by committee or Franchise players?
Who has Iverson played within his 11 years similar to that?Comment

Re: AI speaks out..in a way
Grizzlies owner Michael Heisley wants to meet with Allen Iverson and is seriously considering a one-year, $5 million offer, according to team insiders.
The Memphis front office is split on whether or not signing Iverson would be a wise move. The final decision will rest with Heisley.
The Grizzlies would make clear to Iverson that he would be sent home or banished for any perceived act of insubordination.
a 1yr deal?Comment

Re: AI speaks out..in a way
Im sure Heisley is licking his lips at the extra revenue the Answer would rake in for him, but Practice? We talkin about...practice?
On Thanksgiving?
Seriously though, reading about the situation, his issues seemed to be with Curry, and the fact that insiders say Allen never meshed with the guys...rarely even spoke to anybody.
Put him in a situation where he's at least comfortable, and I think AI would be a positive. Mark me down in the "yes he can be an unselfish, roleplaying leader" column. He hasn't before, but then, his legacy has never been in this type of hot water before. He wants to prove people wrong...never underestimate that in a guy.Hank's Custom Collectibles 3D printer/painter extraordinaireComment

Re: Iverson wants to go to Memphis?
Everybody's not going to win a ring especially with no Legit post player or great head coach.
Look at the teams from the last 10 years that has won it.
Lakers,Celtics,Pistons,Spurs,Heat
Great coaching,Great Wing play,Great Post play
Now tell me the last team Iverson played on that had that? ding ding ding Larry Brown and Dikembe Mutumbo(Past his prime)
How could you even compare Jason Kidd to a selfish A.I.? Get over your love for him man. Why doesn't A.I. go to Celtics if he wants to win? Why didn't he come off the bench in Detroit? Why did the Nuggets get raped by the Lakers only to come back with almost the exact same team and almost beat the Lakers without A.I.? Why is A.I. such a loser? Why???
Why didn't Jason Kidd go to L.A. if he wanted a ring? You're 21 and was 12 when Iverson and Kidd was in they're primes you know not much of anything.
Everybody in the NBA isn't a ring chaser,I'd much rather be happy on my job with much success rather than upset with a funky ring.
You keep saying Denver has the same team are deaf or blind?
Nene
Jones
Billups = 3 New starters= MAJOR change
The only reason they were close was because Melo was averaging close to 40.When Melo went down the Nuggets went down.Last edited by NBA2k8 CHAMP; 07-09-2009, 07:43 AM.Comment

Re: Iverson wants to go to Memphis?
The only thing Iverson hasn't won is a ring.So I guess he's on the same boat as Malone,Barkley,Ewing,R.Miller,etc.. not bad company!

I think the Nuggets could have had a similar season with Iverson, and I really think Iverson would have had a better statistical season.Last edited by Lynsanity; 07-09-2009, 08:08 AM.Comment

Re: Iverson wants to go to Memphis?
Look at the teams star post players that has won it the last few years
Gasol(Bonafied All Star)+Bynum+Odom-Committee
KG(Franchise player yet can't be a 1st option)
Tim Duncan
Young Wallaces Ben and Rasheed
Shaq
Do you think it's a coincedence? You have to have GREAT not good post play to win a ring.
That's something IVERSON NEVER HAD.
True...but watch my next two answers...
Okay lets do this.
Lineup
Shaq
Amare
They want to sign Dirk as a FA to put them over the top for a ring yet Dirk can go somewhere else and start what do you think Dirk would do?
Also why didn't Jason Kidd accept the 6th man role in Boston or SA to win a ring?
Why didn't Grant Hill?
Are they selfish too? Do they have ego's?
Jason Kidd? He's still one of the best points (offensively & defensively) in the league.

I agree with you on most of your points. I would say the loss of Camby and the addition of the Birdman was just as much a part of them winning the extra games. Camby is a good help side defender, but has more of that slow it down and let me take a jumper mentality. Nene is more of a fast break player at this stage. Nene + Birdman - Camby= More Transition points, and easier scoring.
I think the Nuggets could have had a similar season with Iverson, and I really think Iverson would have had a better statistical season.Comment
