    Exactly.

As a change of pace or instant offense on the Spurs, Celtics, or Cavs, he'd be great and possibly the piece that puts them over the top.

However, we all know he won't go that route.

Iverson would be Bobby Jackson circa 2002 to the hundredth power. Too bad.

        The dynasty will return

Iverson is not a bench player at this point in his career.

          No way, no how.

He's still a system player. And a damn good one at that.

Too bad, the only systems that really fit his style are Phoenix and Golden State and they won't be going anywhere for awhile.

Its time to stop assuming what people would trade for man lol, especially w\ the doosies weve seen lately...

I am an A.I. fan, but there is no way in hell that he would accept his role on this Spurs team. He would be a change of pace off the bench, and I think Iverson would still want to be a focal point getting 30+ minutes a game.

However, if he is willing to play limited minutes, I'd love for him to play in San Antonio.

Come on man... a 6th man in this league is not what it was in the past.

Not only that but it doesnt mean less minutes...sometimes its an even bigger role than the starter role is.

Yes AI is good, but thats not the dispute. The Answer experiment has been a continual failure. As I just said above, the league has changed, that means you change with it or get left behind.

Noone is going to win a championship building around a guy like AI. I keep seeing people say he needs a full defensive team around him, and thats a joke. This league is not based on defense with one main weapon anymore. Matter of fact, only Larry Brown could make some crap like that even work.

Point is if he wants to win then he'll do what he needs to do. Im sure the Spurs are glad Ginobili didn't have that kind of attitude, or even Lamar with the Lakers.

Manu nor Lamar are near the Caliber of Iverson either.

Look at the teams star post players that has won it the last few years

                        Gasol(Bonafied All Star)+Bynum+Odom-Committee

                        KG(Franchise player yet can't be a 1st option)

                        Tim Duncan

                        Young Wallaces Ben and Rasheed

                        Shaq

Do you think it's a coincedence? You have to have GREAT not good post play to win a ring.

                        That's something IVERSON NEVER HAD.

                          Okay lets do this.

                          Lineup

                          Shaq
                          Amare

They want to sign Dirk as a FA to put them over the top for a ring yet Dirk can go somewhere else and start what do you think Dirk would do?

Also why didn't Jason Kidd accept the 6th man role in Boston or SA to win a ring?

                          Why didn't Grant Hill?

Are they selfish too? Do they have ego's?

Your hypotheticals mean nothing at all.

We're talking about Iverson right now. What contendor is he going to go to and continue to play the same way and win?

None of those guys shoot a low percentage as AI, they dont hold the ball as much as AI, they dont dribble around as much as AI and they don't stop the ball as much as AI either.

Answer what? Why Grant Hill isnt a 6th man on a contendor?

Give me a break. Deflecting the truth from your mind wont change it. As is, Iverson won't win jack squat until his attitude changes.
