But don't you feel that LeBron and A.I.'s style of play are counter productive to each other? We saw how Denver's offense was with and without A.I.

And I don't think they are saying that A.I. is going to hurt your defense. But, that you can get somebody who may IMPROVE your defense.

That's why numbers don't tell the tale in basketball. Especially limited numbers. Denver scored more, but they sacrificed defense for offense. This year with Chauncey, their offense worked on the break AND in the half court, so they were allowed to excel at any tempo.

Denver ran a championship offense this year. Last year they ran a bootleg fun n' gun that couldn't beat playoff caliber defense. That junk is engineered for reg. season numbers.

You can't count how many injuries he's played threw that he didn't have too,he could've pulled a Dwayne Wade and faked injured because he knew the season was over that's what I call not caring about your team.

What Hof player/Superstar have you seen play harder than Iverson? Do you think he does that just for ppg? man gtfo of here.

I don't think some of you even play basketball to understand what is ACTUALLY going on on the court and don't even have that same mentality.

This is where you don't understand what you're talking about.For starters they have

Nene which replaced Camby and that in return gave them a LEGIT low post option which is key to any offense because that gave them inside and out game.

2nd Anthony Carter minutes slowly got cut down.

3rd Melo got in better shape,improved his range,and ball handling which made him even unstoppable.


Denver actually played defense last season.The thing is they were too small in the back court which lead to double teams.

Even when they lost to the lakers AGAIN they were doing better letting Jones guard Kobe one on one and limiting the others,but George Karl the **** up that he is decides to double team which exploited the Nuggets bad defensive rotations and the Lakers took the series easily in the end.

The Nuggets offense last season was way more explosive and effecient then this season even with the improvements over the summer from the players.

Running a championship offense doesn't mean ****.I'm from however you can put the ball in the hole then do it.

The breakneck pace has been in the NBA go watch showtime LA. Denver's defense improved because of Nene,Jones,and Birdman.Still the Nuggets only won 4 more games in a injury filled conference.

I can guarantee if Manu,Tony Parker,Tim Duncan,Deron Williams,Boozer,Okur,Amare,Monta Ellis,etc... Didn't get injured and D'Antoni leaving,Baron Davis leaving,etc.. The Nuggets would've been fighting for the 7th or 8th spot once again.

They got the benefit of the doubt from Changes and Injuries not because they were way better.

please explain how iverson,mayo,gay,thabeet,gasol,conley.. would not make a contending team?

Gay is too defenseless and only has eyes for the hoop. Mayo is a talented one on one scorer but still needs to learn how to function in a complex offense. Still, Mayo has shown more commitment to playing defense than Gay ever has. Iverson needs to dominate the ball to be semi effective and still gambles recklessly on defense (some things never change).

The jury is still out on Thabeet. Gasol is nifty around the hoop but gets manhandled when he tries to defend the post. Conley is a mediocre guard who should be a bench player. Also note that Conley is an abysmal defender. That is why they would struggle to reach mediocrity.

lol @ some people expecting A.I. to guard people full court be the focal point of a offense and play 40 minutes some of these people have unrealistic expectations for people they hate

No one is asking for AI to go extreme on defense. We're only asking for AI to give a damn on defense.

guess the "fake sixers fan" comment was at me cuz im from Philly....1.Why would a "fake" Sixer fan have season tickets for the season that just past? 2. Supported the Nuggets before AI got there and why wouldnt a fan support a team even more when they have his two fav players on it?(There are only a hand full of players I call my fav and its: MJ, KJ, KG, Ray Allen, Penny, Shaq, AI, Melo and Rose) 3. I never supported the Pistons...4. There is no way you can call a Dolphin fan a "Fake" supported....

But since this is about AI and Mem, I will say that I would like AI to return to the NBA next year and I rather see him play than see him in Marbury's role....either way he's in the Hall....Him gettin a ring aint making my life better...Even tho it would be nice to see
