Re: The LeBron James Saga
Hahahahahahah
I knew it. All of his douche acts were on purpose for marketing. It was all too blatant.
SMH.
That is beyond lame. This guy has no limits.Comment

Re: The LeBron James Saga
I don't about ya'll but I liked it, especially from the :35 second mark on.
Can't wait til tomorrow as the we'll finally see the official debut of the mWo.
And he can write as many blogs or write out all the statements in the world and that wouldn't be enough for people so really his only way to shut up folks is to win titles. Sucks for him but unfortunately that's the "consequence" he has to take because of that whole charade he did.#RespectTheCultureComment

oh lawd. off the charts cheesy.
honestly, if he wants to address the haters and let us know hes aware of everything that is being said....make a well thought out statement to the press or write a blog post or something. Don't make an arrogant yet cheesy commercial.

Re: The LeBron James Saga
I just don't get the point of the commercial (besides Nike marketing)
Is he telling us he's coming back stronger, saying F the haters? The stuff he says doesnt even make sense...should he sell shiny shoes? Get his tattoo removed? Wha? And the "Hi Chuck" thing is not cute or funny...
Because he comes off as pretty butthurt and insecure if you ask me.
Maybe he should spend more time with his teammates practicing basketball instead of doing self centered one-hour long TV specials and 15-scene commercials for the sole purpose of stroking your own ego. Maybe thats what you should do LeBron.
*Note: These statements are merely thoughts and opinions. I do not know how much actual time LeBron spends practicing basketball with his teammatesLast edited by NC State-31 UNC-27; 10-25-2010, 01:46 PM.Comment

Re: The LeBron James Saga
I mean this dude is only 3ish years older than I am... it's obvious he's still immature. I bet he looks back years from now and thinks wtf was I doing. Presently though, it seems his pride is getting in the way of his logic.
This analogy has been used before, but he's like the really hot/unstable girl who dumped her BF via text, got yelled at for good reason, and now has this wall built up that he'll never break down because it'd damage his ego and make him look "soft" even if he slightly regrets handling the situation the way he did.. I really used to enjoy this guy, but man... I can't f'ing stand him anymore.Comment

Re: The LeBron James Saga
I really liked that commercial. Maybe a couple of scenes were kind of lame, if they cut about 15 seconds out it would have been better, but I still love it.Originally posted by Jay BilasThe question isn't whether UConn belongs with the elites, but over the last 20 years, whether the rest of the college basketball elite belongs with UConnComment

Re: The LeBron James Saga
I thought it was worse than the Tiger Woods commercial. Just a 1:30 of James justifying his poor handling of the situation while he's trying to get you to buy his new shoes.Comment

This is how bad its gotten: For the first time in 30 yrs, I will be cheering for the Celtics to beat a team. I hate the Heat that much that I'm cheering for my team's archrival.Comment

Re: The LeBron James Saga
The commercial itself was fine. Exceptional even.
Everything leading up to it and what he's referring to in the commercial is what makes everything go down the drain.
I guess whatever helps the bottom line and brings in the cash though, so I can't blame him. Not exactly sure if all of his actions and scheming will bring in more dollars but I think it's funny how he's trying to paint himself in a certain shade... when all of this "hate" he's been receiving is due to his own pre-meditated plan to in fact play "the villain".Comment

Re: The LeBron James Saga
I just disagree with people saying he planned all of these things just for this commercial or other marketing.
It's not like he mapped out this whole scenario in his head and said "Ok, I'm gonna bone the entire city of Cleveland on National TV and go to Miami, everyone will hate me, then I'll make a Nike commercial about it".Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches.
